5,000 current FML subscribers times $100 a year equals $500k a year. His expenses can't be too high, I'm very jealous. He came in years ahead of the "free" internet boom and most of his users have stayed around. Good articles and interesting to browse the classifieds. I pay and so do 5,000 other people, so he can charge what he wants, but dang that's expensive. FerrariAds.com is free, so we have that over FML, we have an online community that FML doesn't have. I guess the only thing FML has over FC is good original articles and decades of long time subscribers and being on the inside of the Ferrari community. I know 90% of most users wouldn't mind paying the equivalent to a yearly mag subscription to FC, but there will always be free sites and why pay when you can get something for free. My only revenue is from sponsors and we lost money in 2001 and 2002. With my lower expenses this year hopefully we'll be in the black. Why am I complaining? It's a hobby and a blast, glad it's not my paying job, Burger King would be better. |

I have subscribed to the FML continuously since the early 80's and i always look forward to each issue. The publication is the top Ferrari Market publication, and I commend Gerald Roush for his endeavours. I have bought, and sold cars through his publication. Keep up the good work Gerald. |

I agree with Wayne. I have been a subscriber since 1976 and always look forward to the next issue. Many times I go back to past issues to look up something. The FML is much more than just a listing of cars for sale. Gerald Roush has built a history of many cars through his research and what he publishes every two weeks is priceless to me. |

For me and my interests, the FML is invaluable. As far as the prices quoted, it is an ASKING price index developed by averaging listed asking prices of cars offered for sale. As you know, asking prices and selling prices are two different things. |

Not much in FML right now. Here's a link to a '67 330GTC 2+2 Red with Campos for sale at $66,5000. http://www.motorcargallery.com/ Good luck. |

y'know, i think FML is a great resource, i subscribed to it (the online edition) for six months while searching for my 355. i found it interesting and educational as a reference to take with a grain of salt. i did not find it invaluable or terribly amazing. if they didn't charge so much for it though, i'd be happy to subscribe ad infinitum and enjoy the reference read every other week. IMO it's overpriced. before the internet became so good at information distrubtion (esp. ferrari pricing), i'm sure it was a stellar resource. but now their numbers tend to be way at the high end of the bell curves, they can't respond to market fluctuations in real time, and the number of listings, while hardly anemic, is certainly not in excess of the free listings available elsewhere. for comparison, i pay about the same money for my online sub to the wall street journal - something i read every freakin' day and that contains quite relevant data to my life and work. never mind that it's a few orders of magnitude more information every day. i think i'd be willing to pay something like $34.99 a year for a once-a-month online publication. $75 a year smells greedy to me. and the online one year sub is only 37% off the printed version. for comparison, one year online WSJ sub is 53% less than the printed sub. my two pennies. worth precisely what you paid for them. as relevant as mud :-) doody. |

I still can't pull the trigger on the 65 330. http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/21/192759.html?1042949371 Just curious, how much does a replacement engine detract from the price of an old Ferrari. For example, How much would $35,000 330 with original engine be worth if that engine was replaced with a correct similar engine? A 64 330 GT 2+2 was auctioned on ebay yesterday for $34,500. |
