>>You and I both know Im not fabricating anything. Like Bruce said, I tell it like it is. Santa monica ring a bell?<< paul, you don't know me or anything about me. You're nothig more than some bizzare internet poster that has issues. You desperately need the approval of others here, and likely everywhere. People who lash out at others the way you try to says everything about who you are inside. Read your own words, first you're the poor victim of slander but you immediately slander others with lies and inuendo. You have issues sport. Get some counseling...isn't it free in Canada? |

>>I doubt you will ever get back the respect (or customers) you flushed down the toilet during your unrelenting attacks on anyone who dared to get in between you and Matt. Should I call you mr. wrongful dismissal? Or lost court case? (inside joke for those who dont understand)<< Thanks for proving my point about the lenghts you will go to and the fabrications & lies you will tell go to make yourself seem whole. You have serious esteem & mental, moral issues sport!!! But in your defense, I read you make good salad dressing. |

>>>I am sorry to hear you get slammed in public like this because, regardless of the circumstances, using the net in this fashion is a cowardly thing to do. It seems as though the annonimity of the net gives people 'artificial' courage or rather, as I like to think of it, an excuse to act like a jackass. << HHHMMMmmmmmmmmm..... Can't believe I saw that about a guy (paul) that will relentlessly persue flaming others for sport!!!!!!!! To the point of fabricating an endless stream of lies to further his own personal agenda of revenge. So you might as well forget about trying to cast paul 'forged crank' n. as some nice guy innocent victim, nothing could be farther from the truth! |

Paul I am sorry to hear you get slammed in public like this because, regardless of the circumstances, using the net in this fashion is a cowardly thing to do. It seems as though the annonimity of the net gives people 'artificial' courage or rather, as I like to think of it, an excuse to act like a jackass. Thank you for all the advice Paul and please do not be put off by this nonsense. Just my .02 |

Blah blah blah, If I recall correctly, and it has been a while, you emailed me looking for advice after destroying your own engine due to bad judgement. I gladly gave all the info I could and asked for nothing in exchange. When you mentioned you had an odd ball set of mismatched pistons in your engine, (requiring 2 different sets of rings) I mentioned a set that I took out during a rebuild that might suit your application. I figured a set of factory standard size pistons with 5000kms on them might be the answer to your problems. You expressed interest in them by saying "consider them sold!" so you gave me your home phone number. I guess I was mistaken thinking you wanted them when I called and left a message for you as well as leaving you my number. I only called you the one time. You never returned the call, never even tried to email me again. For what ever reason, you didnt have the balls to call me or even email me to simply say, thanks but I changed my mind. The fact that you didnt buy them isnt the issue, its how you handled it that makes me have no respect for you as a person. Its people like you that need a slap in the head but I guess destroying your own engine out of stupidity is good enough for me. Im satisfied. And like a puppydog with his tail between his legs, you take a shot an hide. I see a pattern. As far as the advice I gave regarding the drive seal replacement goes, I think I was right in that it can be done in car and changing the outer bearing and seal is easiest rather than doing the inners as well. I think I was indirectly backed up on that. I also think 1% error is wrong. Im not right 99% of the time and if you knew me personally you wouldnt say there is any ego to flex. I too know people from the site off line and I doubt they would call me all those things seeing as they know me. |

Dear Mr. Newman, I deliberately waited for a full day before I responded to your posting so that I can be civil about it. Now that I have had some time to think about it, I would like to make a few points: Point 1: Not everyone is willing or able to buy the used Ferrari parts leftover from the engine upgrade you did to your car. Your holding a grudge against someone who does not want to engage in a used-parts transaction with you means that you are a bad-nature person. That is OK, it is tolerable. Point 2: You initiated that transaction with me in a private email. I am under no obligation to follow through with it, or to even communicate with you about it. Your interpretation that I was d$%king with you only proves Point 1 above. That is OK too, it is still tolerable. Point 3: Your making fun of someone on a public forum like Fchat to get even means that you are a first class jerk. That is intolerable. Point 4: Granted, you are an excellent Ferrari Technician. 99% of your advice and suggestions are correct. That still leaves 1% incorrect. It is very admirable. Point 5: With respect to the technical information on the last posting “removing the outer bearing on the timing gear drive shaft,” you were wrong. The outer seal can be replaced quite easily with the engine in the car, but the outer bearing cannot be done easily “in situ.” Instead of admitting it like a gentleman (e.g. I stand corrected, thanks for the knowledge.), you chose to sling mud in order to perpetuate your wrong notion. When you are contradicted by Ric Rainbolt, Verell Boen, and Robert Garvin, all three who have done this repair in situ, well then Mr. Newman, you are just wrong. I love this Fchat board because I have met on line so many knowledgeable gentlemen who try to help others. For example: · Peter 308GT4, your countryman and a fine gentleman who is so knowledgeable and friendly to all. · Ric Rainbolt, who is a class act and a premier Ferrari Technician of all. · Steve Magnusson who is friendly and a great technical resource for all of us. · Magoo who is loved by all. · Even Ed Gault, opinionated but a fine southern gentleman. You are not among them. As you are just a good technician with an ego to flex. Sites like this are ground for people like you to flex your ego. Fine, we all appreciate your technical contribution. I, for one, find your personality appalling. I am a peaceful person and do not want to perpetuate a fight. Therefore I am not going to respond to any more of your postings. I rather play with my wife and kids, or wax my car, than to acknowledge anything you may have to say. Best Regards, Mitchell
