Rich, Thanks for the clarifications. One hears a lot of stories when these sort of things happen. Best of luck with the operation. I hope they sort this out and make the best of the situation (ie bring warranty work back to campbell). --Dan |

Dan- NO truth to that at all. None. This building in Campbell is still owned by the same people and there are no plans to change that. Tako- We can and will still service your beautiful car. We just can not do warrantay work on it. Ernie--No comment Bob-- There is nothing but the truth in what your where told. And that Murcie is a sweet driver!! Once again, no personnal is changing, no location change, the only change that anyone may notice is the signage.

Rich, I was in the Bay Area earlier this week and stopped by Ferrari of Los Gatos on Wednesday. I spoke to somebody (didn't get his name) as it looked like the inventory was pretty low. He mentioned the poor economy was hurting things. The number of people who have lost their jobs in the Silicon Valley is amazing... and sad. Sorry you're losing the F-portion of the dealership... it's a great setting in downtown Los Gatos. Reminds me of Lake Forest Sports Cars, the F dealership north of Chicago. On the other hand, great news you'll still be selling and servicing non-warranty F-cars. BTW, nice Murcie in the lot! |

Looks like the SOB's at the FNA monopoly have struck again. What were you guys giving to good a service? Oh no maybe it was becasue your customers were happy. Or maybe it was because you were honoring the "FACTORY WARRANTY" on the cars. Oh, no, no, no it had to be because you weren't trying hard enough to drain every ounce of money out of the bank accounts of your customers. Or hey maybe it was all of the above. Hahahaaaaaa What ever the case FNA is a bunch of crooks, and until the US markets gets at least the same treatment as in Europe I will still hold the same opinion of them. |

Interesting. The story I got from FoSF was that all of the financial / legal tiffs were about to be resolved, and that the factory would take over the service center, creating an additional bay area service center in the south bay to cover the region. So does that mean the campbell shop is now owned by factory / FoSF? --Dan |

Before This gets out of control.... I am the parts manager at Ferrari of Los Gatos. I have been on this board for over 3 years watching post and trying to provide helpful information to all onboard. Ferrari of Los Gatos is no longer going to be an authorised Ferrari dealership starting Feb. 1. This is a descion reached by FLG and FNA and the split is a very friendly split. The major part of this is that we are no longer able to do warrantay work on and sell new Ferrari's. We are still a Bentley, Rolls Royce, Lotus and Saleen S7 dealer. All personel are still at the company and are trained. We STILL will sell and service any prancing horse that is brought in to us. The parts department has a vast supply of parts ready to service your needs. Any other rumors, I should be able to help you with if you have anymore questions. Please fell free to contact me at [email protected] up to Feb 1 at that email. Best Regards, Rich Lindell p.s. After Feb 1 I will post a new email address. |
