ROFL, Mike...!!!

You know, Erich, ordinarily, i'd just pass that off as a senseless saying, but i've recently learned that it might actually have some truth to it...

Mike, that was definitely funny, but like you said, nothing beats James' "I quit cigars and scotch the night the Countessa got sick in the Bugatti"
i'll never forget that... Sometimes, it just pops into my head and when no one's around, i say it, out loud, just to hear how it sounds... LOL, ok, it's obvious that i, too, am dumping fuel into my cylindars... :-)

Yeah, you like that? I made that one up off the fly, in honor of an issue I had in the 308 last November on I-25.

Though admittedly, it's not as good as Glickenhaus's "cigars/countessa" quote :-).

"This gal is clearly dumping fuel into 2/3 of her cylinders."

AWESOME! Jeff, I'm totally jealous!

DES, you really *should* stay away from the crazy ones. This gal is clearly dumping fuel into 2/3 of her cylinders. Wow.

I wouldn't be surprised if she were totally serious--it sounds absurd, but think of the volume of hits that ebay gets, and then you realize the myriad psychoses that you're exposing yourself to.

On a side note, I had a nice chat tonight at a gas station with two thugs named "Israel" and "Izzy." I actually had a good time, chatted for five minutes. Thugs can be car guys, too! :-)

Jeff, you wanna post this gal's actual email? I could use a good laugh! ;)

Her husband was killed by a hit to the head with a shovel?

Hmmm... sounds like stalkers are running out of ideas.

Amatures!

=P

Jeff,

If it really worries you, you should report her to E-Bay. What she did is "illegal" according to their rules and regs of the site.

Also, I would block her address. If you get more messages from her, you can back track her ISP, and her provider and turn her in to them. If it keeps going, you can go further with legal action.

A guy at work kept getting spam from some random person and he did what I described (and threatened with legal action) and the spam stoped.

Also, it sounds like some scam or someone who thinks you are rich and is going to try and get some $$ from you. Think about it, it's a pretty standard "sting". Sob story, attractive women (supposedly) and you're suppposedly rich.

Stay away, far away.

Ordinarily, i'd say if you're not interested, give her my email address... :-)

...but she seems to be talking to you 'cause you "really have a Ferrari", so even if she was legit, sane & sincere, i'd still tell her to kiss off...

Yep...that's what I'm think too. Either a stalker or a really sick practical joke. Either way this person now has my email address. Hopefully when there is no reply from me they will give up and move on.

Hey Everyone....here's a new one to me. Like most of you I scan ebay for Ferrari stuff and occasionally buy/sell something. Well I received an email from a woman, a total stanger, asking me "do you really have a Ferrari?" She says she aquired my email address from my transactions on ebay! This is scary...but wait there's more! She says her husband was hit in the head with a shovel and killed, so Christmas was kinda quiet that year! And then she invites me to her place for dinner!! This is some kind of sick joke right?
