Just got back from running/instructing with the BMW club at their "O'Fest" at Loudon - New Hampshire International Speedway. A couple of notes....the guys in the BMW club out there are a good bunch of car enthusiasts. Loudon is in the worst shape I have seen a track in. By my third day, other than the BMW WSC car, the GTR PTG car, a McClaren F1 racecar, and a modified M1 racecar, (all of which were there only to give charity event rides) yours truly was the fastest (out of a total of 150 other cars) car there. Had to make the prancing horse look good for all. Even with all those prepared BMW's there, it was amazing how many people were around my car in the paddock, with a lot of questions, and plesant comments.
Lime Rock was a bit disapointing for me as I was not able to break 1:00. My best lap was 1:00:50, so close but no cigar. As this was the only my third day running this car, I am sure that when I have more seat time, to give me experience with the setup of the suspension of the car, I will be well below 1:00. BUT, WHAT A BLAST!!
William was there in full force with the great tow rig, and "nice" company.
Most importantly, the Prancing Horse was well represented in Loudon.
Go Schumi!!

Marshall was in the fast F40, Way too fast for me, dont know who was in the other 1.
Jeff, who also had a 512TR on slicks, & I had a nice duel for several laps on friday :)

I put the slicks on the 512TR & they felt great, the grip they add is amazing. It was my first time on slicks with this car.
My best time with road tires was 1:05:2, which was really moving on road tires.
With the slicks I got a 1:04:80 & I wasnt trying as hard but still moving with a very heavy car.

Well I didnt gobble up Matt's 355 Challenge car but I did gobble up a few of the slower Challenge cars & blew away a surprised F40 driver :)
