Jim, I think you know how I feel about comp cars and concours events. It'll be great to see her there -- as is. |

Wayne Like me J6 shows her age, nicks, and scars, but as when Pete Brock looked at her tears came to his eyes I quess that's not a bad thing. |

Jim, while it is a judged event, not every car there has to be the reciepient of a "Pebble Beach" quality restoration. A couple of years ago Jon and Mary Shirley brought their stunningly restored 290MM and right next to it sat their GTO with its nice, used appearance. Just go and enjoy. This year they're celebrating Ford's 100th anniversary. Try to do the tour on Thursday! |

James, it's definately a judged event. This is one of the most, if not the most important Concourse in the world. You will not believe the cars that will be there. Autos that are ABSOLUTLY FLAWLESS! And I mean flawless. Beyond flawless. You will not ever in your life time go to a more important car event than the Pebble Beach Concourse. If I remember right it is on the 18th green, (right next to the Pacific ocean). Beautiful setting. Went there last year, had a little silver Abarth which we did the paint and body work on. This year we may be doing another one-of-a-kind car for the show. Very cool show, do not change your mind about going, no matter what it costs you. You'll be glad you went. |

Congratulatios! I havent been in years because of the crowds, but I think I will drive the yellow car up because I love the GT40 also, and it would be fun to meet you and Mr.Hart, if he could just get his Daytona by then.Make your Hotel arrangements now if you want a choice.Of course if the invite includes theLodge, then thats it. I was married in the Lodge a little while back, maybe I can talk my wife into just one more concours. |

Thanks Everyone. I really hope to meet many of you there. I think this is a judged event but I'm not sure what class I'll be in. I think it's on the golf course on Sunday. I've never been there before. I believe the MKI race car will be the one we talked about in the forum that was restored on the link someone posted in off topic. (There are pics of my car all over the forum search MK-IV) I think it's interesting that Pebble Beach would include cars like these. Best Jim |

Congratulations, Jim. Are you gonna clean the dirt from LeMans out from under the headlight cover for the picky judges? |

Congrats! Do you usually go to PB? I have been tempted the last few years, but am put off by the huge crowds. As an invitee, i assume you get some perks, in terms of lodging, logistics, entree to events.... I love the Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur, which is normally just "down the road," but given the traffic during PB, it could take hours. Whaddya think? |

I have just been told that my MK-IV has been invited to The Pebble Beach Concours on August 17. As far as I know this is the first time GT40s have been invited. As far as I understand they will have a prototype, a MKI street version, a MKI racecar, a MKII racecar, a MkIII and my MK-IV. New York Comes To Calif! Best Jim |
