Well, Unfortunately I am shopping around for a F355, but this past July I was in Italy. I visited a Ferrari dealer in southern italy. After making too many technical inquiries about a car in the showroom he took be behind the scenes to visit the foreman. Once I turned into the entrance I saw the most unbelievable sight that only dreamers fantasize about. 3 decades of Ferrari's, a 288GTO, mondials, modenas, f355, 308's 328, you name it it was there and the funny part was that all the workers spoke italian. You could see the pride in there faces and how powerful the prancing horse was to them. The forman told me in italian" I wear this shirt for 30 years" Every gas station I stopped along the autostrada had a Ferrari flag waving in the breeze right next to the Italian flag. I felt so proud to be Italian and in the realm of Ferrari country. These exact roads were the ones that Enzo Ferrari made the cars for. The sense of national pride was enormous.I saw Fiats with stickers on them of Ferrari, Mopeds with Ferrari emblems on it, Huge 16 wheeler trucks with a prancing horse decal on it, even saw a yellow F50 parked next to a Diablo. No one payed any attention to the Diablo..it was all Ferrari. What a Feeling. I am truely proud to be Italian and part of that culture IS Ferrari. |

Mitchel, I'm 67yrs old and probably have owned 30-40- cars mostly exotics but I still get my juices flowing when I get into my car. Sometimes I look up to the sky and say "thanks!" |

Bravo! I love to hear someone voice their passions, whatever it might be for. Mine are Ferraris and my horses. I get very emotional about both and can't say enough once I get started. Of course, most of my women friend's eyes glaze over when I bring up the "car" subject, but at least they brighten when I change the subject to horses LOL Viva La Difference and Forza Ferrari!!s |

I'm here to tell you how that power has embodied me. I just got back from an hour long drive through the mountains of North Gerogia in the car I have wanted my whole life. I turned 30 years old this past Sunday, and I bought the Ferrari for my 30th birthday. I have been to the factory on my 18th birthday and met Piero Lardi Ferrari a year after his father Enzo passed away. These cars are truly unbelieveable. I love it, it makes such incredible sounds. It makes people happy, people wave at me, girls flirt with me, I smile a lot when I am in it. Its my therapy I swear. Is it a facination? Yes. An obsession? Absolutely. No other car made evokes such feeling. To me, a Ferrari is the epitome of what a sports car is. When I was a teenager, I would have sold my soul for one. Now I cannot stay out of the car! I drove it to Wendys, then to the bank, then out for an hour in the mountains. I actually yelled "This is what its all about!!" when I was going through the gears a little while ago. Am I insane for feeling this way about a car? Yes. But its good to know we have a webpage full of people like me right here. I love my Ferrari, so much in fact that I have a room in my house dedicated to the marque. Alright rant off. Sorry for the length, I just get very passionate when I talk about Ferraris. -Mitch |
