very nice combo Michael. Congratulations with your new car.
What is the exterior colour? Blu Sebring or Blu Tour de France?

Man, what a shame... All those nice Ferraris pent up in their stables, not able to see the light of the day...Aye...sad...

With so few kms on relatively old Ferraris, kind of makes me wonder the mechanical conditions of those cars. Frequently driven Ferraris tend to have fewer problems than finely detailed garage queens.

I've been told by Ferrari that the interior colour is Cuoio Ginevra 4379- a custom requested colour. Looks fantastic I've almost received more comments on the interior that the fantastic exterior.
Dan you're right it is a Shinagawa plate(you know your Kanji). I have few friends out here who hold up the Ferrari banner very well, and there's obviously a massive Ferrari club out here. Was looking for F40's recently. I've never come across such a huge number of immaculate F40's with under 600kms on them as in this country.Problem is they don't want to sell them. Same with 288GTO's (my dream Ferrari). I went into one place recently and he had three- all IMMACULATE and extremely low factory kms. You have to lift his offer otherwise he's not interested. Welcome to Japan....very frustrating. Welcome to the country where an enormous portion of the super -exotic F-cars sit and haven't been driven for years bacause they all paid so much for them in the bull years they will never mark-to-market due to easy monetary policy out here. When you're paying 1% finance on the world's finest cars and never have to pay back principle you may as well sit on them. I'll give you photos for proof from one dealer in the middle of the countryside - who has 4 F50's, 4 F40's, 3 288 GTOs', 512BB, and loads of others - ALL immaculate.Upload

Nice to see some Shinagawa number plates on Ferrari Chat. I see that you made no attempt to locate a RHD F-car in Japan - as it would appear that they don't exist there, despite driving on the left.

I bought a RHD Porsche when I lived in Tokyo and the guys at Mizwa (the Porsche dealer) thought I was mad - only 10% of Porsche's sold in Japan are RHD, and no RHD Ferraris are sold in Japan as far as I know.

The logic being, that since both are Euro brands they were designed with the wheel on the left and buying a RHD would be less 'pure'. I loved having a fast car in Japan, as there is a huge respect for sports cars there and a total car culture. See my comment on another thread for an opinion about the UK.

Just thought this was an interesting digression. btw great color combo on the 355!

Man, I LOVE the colors as well. Its funny to see the size of a Ferrari compared to a normal sized sedan. Ferraris are so tiny, I love that!

Yes Noel the Audi is significantly faster. Not much touches that car. Both are great drives, yet very different. The Ferrari is all about the experience. Great handling, love the high-revving motor, and fantastic ear-splitting sound. If I want to scare the pants off a 996TT I take the RS4 down the highway. If I want people leaning out of their cars pumping their fists in the air with excitment as you scream by and having them pull all sorts of moves to get close and have another look it is without doubt the F-car. Absolutely magic is the only way to describe the experience.
