Thanks Don,

But would that be easier not to include the NON Ferrari cars on the lens shutter while taking photos, rather than screw around with the $700 software adobe photoshop???

Look at my photo posting under showroom, I don't even include people on my photo shot.

I took 120 pictures of this drive The Don is referring to a couple weeks ago.

I knew nothing at all about Ferrari's until I joined up here late last year. I want a gorgeous looking 2 seater I can throw around. Not much beats a Ferrari in the looks department, but my search is still open as I stash away cash.

I'll make sure to put a warning in the header next time. I mean, I could be enjoying the drive rather then recording it digitally. What was I thinking?!

Every chance I get! I often forget a critical item (from the donney-do list) from the store..Darn..I got to go back! The 9 year old likes to be dropped off and picked up in the 308. I would drive it for work, but since I am in field sales, it would not be a good idea. Yah, I'm gonna tell a buyer that 'I REALLY need that order'!..Uh hu!

I bought my car in August of 99 and since then have put over 16k miles on it.

Upload

I used to drive it to work daily for about a year.

I now have over 106,000 miles on the odometer and the engines starts and runs fine.

Compression is fine on all cylinders and I have better than 85 psi oil pressure at 2,500 rpm.

I add maybe 1/2 quart of oil between oil/filter changes every 3,000 miles or less.

A great car even after 18 years.

"The Don" and others,

Guys, This is a Ferrari forum, can we please keep it only on F cars??

I wonder what other cars are doing in Ferrarichat??

Funny looking Dodge Viper?? P cars, etc. Please keep NON Ferrari some else. My eyes are getting sore looking at them :-( Don't get me wrong, they are great cars, but they are in the wrong forum

Gotta come over to shoot our deep mirror black Maranello sometime around your house KZ :-) Nice shots by the way

My 550 gets between 750 and 1,000 miles of exercise a month. It is, of course, garaged but it does get dirty. I have 37,000 miles on it now and I will need my 45,000 miles cheap check-up shortly. Most of my miles are either trips to San Diego, San Francisco, or Las Vegas; or the Southern California Freeways during the day. Great fun I have with the beast in rush hour. Week ends the beast rests.

I bought my 328 in mid-April and I put over 1,000 miles in two weeks. I said that I was going to relax with the driving, but that's been easier said than done so far.

Manu, I thought about yellow seat inserts or yellow stitching, but I think that would have been over kill. The auto is classy with just plan black leather inside.......Albiet I have a set of Keith Collins black with Suderia shield mats on their way! Marty and I are thinking about the 250gt style front aluminum grill....

Kuzi - your 575M is perfect - for me they're also pure torture....
Yellow calipers + scuderia shields on Black is genius.... I've always said the modular rims are a must....
These pictures add another twist to my personal decision making.... DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!

Dan (Bobafett): The tire sizes are 255/35 ZR19 in front and 305/30 ZR19 in back. The wheels are 8.5X19 and 10.5x19. I'm not sure if they would work on the 550 but a quick call to your local F dealer service should give you the anwser.

I stopped at McDonalds on the way back for VIR. Any guess as to what people think when they see a Ferrari in a McDonalds parking lot?

Longest drive in my 308QV was about 10 years ago (I hadn't had it very long then) when I was engaged to my wife and we drove to meet her parents for a weekend. With the various side trips and excursions, it was about a 650 mile total round trip.

Other than that, it's been the occasional 450-500 mile round trip to overnight or weekend events in Atlanta. Of course, that doesn't include any miles I might have put on at Road Atlanta while there!

Slightly over 1000 miles in the first five weeks of ownership. Longest trip so far was to VIR this past Sunday where I racked up over 250 miles in one day.

I plan on driving mine as much as I can but only when the weather is nice.

Kuzi,

Absolutely great car! :-)
I normally put around 4000 miles on the car per year.
Not much, I agree but on the other hand its not a garage queen.
Drive her at least once per month and do around two or three track meetings either at the Nürburgring, Spa or Hockenheim.
The right environment for a car from Maranello. :-)

Con saluti cordialissimi,
Jens Haller

P.S. Black is really beautiful...
If I ever buy a 12 cylinder Ferrari my first one will be a 550 or 575! Just fantastic!

Just finished two weeks of the most enjoyable automobile ownership ever. I took delivery of my 575M F1 two fridays ago and in the last two weekends proceeded to put over 1000 miles on the odometer........At this rate I could possibly reach 10K miles by end of summer!! I have to quit hanging out with these Ferrari owners here in the NW.............they love to drive their automobiles..........in any type of weather!

Here are some pics of her after cleaning her up from a romp down to Cannon Beach, Oregon this past weekend. Put over 400 amazing miles on her round trip! Whats the most miles anyone has put on their Ferraris in a week?
