Peter, thanks, I contacted a ferrari shop in UK that works on cars for the Maranello Challenge about race parts but never heard back from them I'll run the car in FCA / FOC events as well as events like the SIlver STate run & maybe in NASA's unlimited class. SCCA has nowhere to run this monster & its too old for IMSA or whatever its called now. Let me know if u can think of other places I can race it |

There was (is?) a fellow in England who modified a TR for racing in the Maranello Championship and Auto Italia Championship. Check out the October 1998 edition of Auto Italia magazine. I don't know if they have an online archive, but check out their website: http://www.auto-italia.co.uk Hopes this gives an idea whats involved. If you build this car, will it be legal for competition (meeting all class rules)? |

I just acquired a slightly damaged 512TR that needs a little work. I love my 512TR road car so much I decided to get another 1 just for the track The plan is to strip off about 1000# throw in the roll cage, fuel cells, fire supression system, slicks, & more race equipment & go hunting F40s Also want to add a carbon fiber body maybe a Koening competition kit with CF from the doors back & a BBLM nose Any1 know of other 512TR track cars or have some suggestions for this beastie ? |
