I drove the car at Watkins Glen this past weekend at the FCA track event. Jeff asked me to take it out, and give the mechanic some feedback in order to help with the sorting out process. There is a bit of work that needs to be done, (suspension, driving position, brake system, air flow box, roll cage adjustment) but when it is finished, it will be a major screamer!! It is not ususual for such a car to go through this process. There is no reason why this car will not be quite a bit faster than a 360 challenge car. Even with everything that needs to be done, I was really able to sense the potential of this car on the track.
I took my 355 challenge car out at the event, and posted a best lap time of 2:09. The record is 2:05. With a bit more seat time in this car, (this was my first time in this car at the glen) as well as some new slicks, 2:05 seems extremely likely.

Jeff the President of the Empire State Region FCA chapter just bought a full carbon fiber bodied 355 race car built for Speedvision. The car has at least 400 hp, weighs 2450. Very nice. He & Servizio who built the car in Jupiter Fla r debugging it now, once sorted out this should b a real rocket :)
BTW a 355 Challenge car weighs 3200 & has 375 hp
