"OLD" IS WHEN... Your sweetie says, "Let's go upstairs and make love" and you answer, "Pick one, I can't do both!" "OLD" IS WHEN... Your friends compliment you on your new alligator shoes and you're barefoot. "OLD" IS WHEN... A sexy babe catches your fancy and your pacemaker opens the garage door. "OLD" IS WHEN... Going bra-less pulls all the wrinkles out of your face. "OLD" IS WHEN... You don't care where your spouse goes, just as long as you don't have to go along. "OLD" IS WHEN... You are cautioned to slow down by the doctor instead of by the police. "OLD" IS WHEN... "Getting a little action" means I don't need to take any fiber today. "OLD" IS WHEN... "Getting lucky" means you find your car in the parking lot. "OLD" IS WHEN... An "all-nighter" means not getting up to pee. |

I can't relate but I will soon. lol It's gonna seem freaky though when a Corvette ZO6, Dodge Viper, or even a Ferrari 360 Modena will seem like a beast of last year. When I see a hot rod done well from the 30s-60s I start to drool. I'm sure my children's children will feel the same way about the "antique" 575M in the neighbors garage. |

At 42 I think each decade has been better than the last for me. I'd never want to be 20 again except when it comes to playing sports. In life, I think the 40's are the best because I'm still young and not falling apart yet, but have a lot more wisdom than I did 20 years ago. |

I kind of like being the youngest all the time, although my dad's girlfriend's daughter is younger by two years. This is the first time I haven't been the youngest kid and it's not that bad really. I would go back to being ten years old anyday of the week. That was the best time when all you cared about was street hockey, eating dinner, maybe some hw, had a crush on a girl but had no idea to do with a girl, baseball, motorcycles, etc. No worries. It's funny my dad once told me this would be the best time of my life when I was young so to enjoy it, I never understood what he meant though, it always seemed having a car, going places, etc would be so much better. I like this age though too. I guess every age has its pros and cons. |

You don't feel the transition, it just happens. One day you're the youngest achiever in your profession and everyone calls you 'The Kid'. The next day you look around and you're the oldest guy in the room by five years and they're all wondering when you are going to leave... |

Bret, Your comment made me think about something that I've been wondering about for a while: At what point does a man (or woman) go from wishing he were older to wishing he were younger? I turn 26 this Saturday, and I find myself flip-flopping between the two these days. Also, apparently my secretary was behind me when I was driving to work this morning. I just walked by her desk to say good morning and she couldn't stop talking about the car. It made me feel so priviledged to have it. BTW, she only calls me mister or sir when she's mad at me. |

The first and only time I have ever been called mister was once at my grandfather's shop I was in the driveway washing the 308, three little guys came down the steet walking their bikes and one yells "hey mister nice car" I said thanks big guy and let them take a look before they continued on their way. Whew, I was still 18 then (now 19) but I could feel the effects of age...alright maybe I couldn't, but I felt old for a second at least. |

Pulled into my driveway and let my car idle while I raised up the garage door. I walk back to the car and a young kid stops to a skid on his bicycle.... Wow!...he says...NICE car!!!!Did you just get it?? "No", I say...."I have had it for 10 years.....it is a 1981." With a very puzzled look he says.....Do you have any more antique cars? I swear.....vibes from my 308 shocked the ground.....all the way over to me 10 feet away......My car felt old....and I felt ancient.
