of course they did! anybody ever doubted that? Why would FNA lie to the DOT when they have their production already sold for the next 3 years? Why would they lie when it does not really affect their market share? can't be the warranty when they do not have to cover warranty for cars not sold through their dealer network! |

FNA lost its case against importers at the DOT/EPA regarding the importation of grey market 360 and 550 models. Richard Fritz said reasonable priced cars are now only a DOT/EPA certification away. That should bring down the price of U.S. spec cars too. Per Fritz the cars are substantially the same and very little modifications are needed. If fact, according to an article in the recent issue of AutoWeek, FNA was not truthful when it claimed non-U.S. spec cars did not have side impact beams in the doors. It seems all 360s and 550s have such beams whether U.S. or Euro spec. |
