Are you sure you are in group 10. I race with a guy that runs and Indy car in one of the group 10 races. Group 10 consists of F10 (Indy cars after 1990) and C10 which is Winston Cup Cars. Only other group 10 class is H 10 which is for "Historically important".

I'll be racing in HSR class 10 next season. Any idea what a 512TR race car might be worth ? I imagine around $150k |

The rates are usually 10% of the agreed upon value, with a 10% deductible. Bottom line: Not a good bet unless you plan on crashing.
Having said that: the 1997 Motorola car, Parker Johnstone driving, didn't have the insurance, because he didn't crash very much the year before. 1.4 million in crash damage in 97. Insurance would have cost 300k.

JRV, I think American Collectors Ins only covers "drivers education" events, and it sounds like William may actually *race* his car in competitions, and if so, he'd have to go to someone like Parish Heacock. |
