I thought that car would have had a neutral safety switch on it. Maybe a Euro? Any thoughts?

While on a FCA event in North Carolina a friend of mine got out of his 328GTS to get a drink at a country store. His wife waited in the car in the passenger seat. Well his wife started getting hot sitting in the car and reached over to turn on the key so she could lower the window. When she turned the key the car started with the car in gear and took off down the road with her in the passenger seat. The car ran into the back of a truck before any one got hurt but it caused thousands of dollars of damage to the car. Needless to say that couple were are odds the rest of the event.

Jim, think all 3 of us can fit in Rob's car? Winks, smiles, flashes, Hooters girls. I'm missing the boat.

Jim, more wishful than reality. I've only received winks and smiles. However, my friend with a Viper has actually had this happen twice in the past year. I haven't developed the pictures yet, but I have some of a Hooters girl and I sitting through the GTS roof.

I was looking for an address and did not pay any attention to parking bumpers. There were two entrances in one building. The fromt parking lot had two spaces sideways between the street and the building . Between the street and the parkign was a little hedge but because it was two entrances to the building had two openings. I drove into one and turned around facing the other entrance. stopped, looked at the address and realized I had to go to the other entrance. No problem, all parking spots empty. Gas, crack smack! I actually managed to break not just my lower bumper but also the parking stopper in the process. Looked aweful. Felt like crying!

Magoo,
I did bend over to show the fuzz where I just had the bumper done again; when the glasses slipped out of my pocket onto the curb and I was so nuts by then and couldn't see exactly where they were I stepped on them. The cop then wrote out the ticket!
Adam,
The only surgery I wanted to do was on my jugular!

Just happened this weekend: I caught up to my kids at the beach at about 7:30 AM on my TR (they are normally in the surf by the crack of dawn). After a couple of hours of hanging around with them, I decided to takeoff. On my way to the car, I saw a van with cameras, etc. been followed by a runner. Shortly after, there were hundreds of them. I got trap in a 10K run in Malibu. Since the road was completely blocked, I would have to wait till the last one of them went by. To my surprise, and specially to that of my kids, many of the contestants slowed down, some completely stopped, to take a closer look at the car. I thought that it was truly amazing given the location (beautiful ocean, shoreline, girls, etc.) that some will take a little time of their race to stop and enjoy one of Maranello's finest.

Ive been pulled over in the Countach by 2 different cops who wanted to check it out.

I also tore off the rear valance in the 512TR in my lawyers parking lots, car sanl in the gravel had to get towed out :) Tow driver said it was his first extraction since winter. Oh well.

Apart from blowing past various Vettes, Vipers, Turbo 911s, Panteras, & Lambos, Not much else :)

From the front and back they're pretty good in an accident, especially for a car that low, from the sides though I would hate to see someone get hit... They definitely are well made cars, that's what wins races.
I've gotten pulled over twice for doing the speed limit, wtf, never for actually speeding though. Both times the cop started asking me about how fast it was and all and was looking at all the lines of it. The one time I had a girl with me though so I was just like seriously dude, I gotta go.

Martin, Man, I hope you didn't bend over to pick up your bifocals.

I was visiting my 90yr old Mom in Florida, parked in the lot-did not realize there was a concrete parking block at the front bumper-came out went foward instead of back and ripped the front bumper to shreads (in my 355). Took it to Shelton and 4 days and $500 later picked up the car.
2 weeks later visited my Mom again-parked in the same spot and did the same thing. When I brought it to the body guy he couldn't believe what an idiot I was and ONLY charged me $450.On the way back home I got a speeding ticket in Tamarac for 52mph in a 35 and when I was explaining to the cop about the bumper my bifocals fell out of my breast pocket and I stepped on them and smashed them into a thousand pieces. Talk about a bad hair day!

I got into a bad accident in a 92 512TR, we hit an M3, then the M3 hit a NSX. It was during a mountain drive last year. You guys would NOT believe the superior build quality of the Ferrari. The paramedics and police could not believe how little damage the Ferrari took on, considering we were doing 95-100, then hit the brakes and hit the M3 a split second later...we were thinking we were going about 70 when we hit the BMW. Ferraris are built like freaking Sherman tanks, and I can attest to that!! The Ferrari saved me from serious injury or even death!!

It was unreal. All that happened to me was a dislocated shoulder and a huge bruise on my arm from the strange armrest on the doors of the 512.
If I were in any other car, I think it would have been A LOT worse.

I have been flashed once in my 308! I have also been pulled over in a 86 TR once for actually doing the speed limit....I am not kidding. I was doing 45mph in Roswell Georgia, and a lady cop started following me, and pulled me over because it appeared suspicious that a Ferrari was doing the speed limit...I SWEAR TO GOD THIS HAPPENED! The lady cop let me go when she realized I was a cool dude.
