and the question is again: Michelotto ....conversion or perversion? I have seen a 308 Race car by Michelotto at Moroso in Feb at the Italia Fest. That one looked like a 308 as well with heavy race preps and was a Michelotto I think. The guy just bought the car for about $ 80K if I remember correctly. |

Mike, I'm not sure of the specifics, but I've read that they used larger chokes in the carbs (36mm, instead of 32mm), with coresponding adjustments to jet/air corrector sizes. They also used "P6" cams (higher lift, longer duration), high-compression pistons, various gear-ratio/final-drive changes too. This was all mentioned in a past Forza issue in their Tech Q&A with Tony Palladino, he mentions the tech bulletin from the factory which had all the #'s for these items. |

I agree with Bret, looks like an early version of a 288 GTO Evoluzione, which I thought was really cool in a butt-ugly way. The Evoluzione did morph (or did it transmogrify?) into the F40. |

Maybe it was a GTB/M. I will research. What type of engine is in a GTB/M and what was the history? Thanks Mike |

Herb's car is probably a 308GTB/M think it was built as a rally car. Artie Wiener used to have 1 also |

William, are you sure that it indeed is a 308 GT/M? There were only three built (one is here in The Netherlands) and they all look (almost) the same. Aren't you perhaps talking about a 308 GTB/M, which is the race version of the 308 GTB? Those cars were also built by Michelotto. And Mike: I don't have Cavallino, but could this perhaps be the so-called "Carma 308", a heavily modified 308, which look like it is the predecessor of the 308 GT/M?? Isn't there any info in Cavallino about the car on the picture? Grtx, Edvar |

Mike, check out the UK Maranello CHallenge series for lots of modern Ferraris racing. 512TR beat an F50 for the championship last year I believe |

The one that I saw in Cavallino had the traditional air intakes of a 308, but had a front clip that was really low. Would this be a 308m? I agree with you on the appearance of the GT/M. Any other info would be great. I have a 1985 308 Euro and I'm interested in any of the racing history authorized, or not. The 308 is a general Touring but I have seen varios racing set-ups. Thanks |

You can definitely see the early lines of the F40 in it. You can really see them in the 288 Evoluzione. They have a Michelotto F40 at WWoC right now, che bella. |

Talk about UGLY!!! Good thing Pininfarina designs our cars & not Michellotto. Herb Wolf of the NY region has a 308M but its an early version with just flared fenders & not the rest of that hideous body kit. |

Does anyone have pictures, specs and or history on the 308 GT/M? I saw one in Cavallino and was really curious. I would appreciate any info. Thanks Mike |
