Asking Ferrari if their prices are too high is like asking????????????? Oh, forget it, If you think it is worth what they are asking then buy it! |

By the way, new tires were put on at the last major, in June, '98, and they will fix a smallish crack in the front air dam (the only real "fault"). |

Hi again, Today we went back to the original TR we were considering ('91 red on tan, 8,700 KM, asking price of $145,000 CDN, almost perfect condition) and got driven in it and drove it myself. WOW!!! Now this feels like I always though a Ferrari should and would. (The salesman scared the **** out of me, it was incredible). Fast as hell (!!), corners like it weighs half as much, and sounds and looks incredible (inside and out). Also, feels tight as a drum even being 10 years old. One owner, full service history/records and books and tools. Has had all regular annual services and last major was done in June 1998. Seriously considering this one. Will be thinking it over this weekend and deciding, pending (hopefully) check out by independant mechanic. By the way, I know the general consensus was that it is (way) overpriced, but I have looked at the 4re North America web site and the price doesn't look that far out of line (?!). What am I missing here? When I took the wheel, the clutch is heavyish and the steering too (only at low speeds, although I did notice the car was happier with two hands on the wheel) and the shifting notchy (as expected), but I seemed to be getting "used" to these things. The power and handling were incredible (did I mention this already??) I will keep you posted. Mikester |
