Adam, I think he's got all our support behind him in getting the 550. Argueably the best new Ferrari to buy (I know I would get if I could).

I was eight and my father bought his first 365 GTB/4. I remember going for rides all of the time with him. When my brother was old enough, we used to fight for who got a ride. I even remember sitting in the back on the rear luggage shelf with my brother when my mom and dad took us to car shows. I loved the shows ( but hatted being on Barrani clean-up duty) esp the ones at New Hope or at Ron Spangler's Prancing Horse Farms. A few years later dad bought a 246 GTS that was just the most fun to be in. When I got older I did get to drive the Dino, but never the Daytona. By the time I went to College, my father had retired and bought a Car dealership ( Porsche, Audi, VW, Audi and some classic Ferrari's) so I got to drive many of the customers cars when they needed service ( pick-up and deliver). I was hooked on sports cars. My dream came true when dad bought an '86 TR from a dealer in Mass, and I got to drive it to College for a few weeks after it's 1,000K service. I was loved and hated ( more hated) at school. One of the Frat's even had a Miami Vice party, and I show up in this beast. Over the year's dad bought a few more ( and then mom took them away in a divorce), but I finaly got one of my own this year after many years of hard work, and it brought back great memories for dad and I esp after I won MY first trophy at a show. I think he has got the bug again and might get rid of the 911 for a 550.

Don't remember the first time I saw one but Magnum and Miami Vice both had alot to do with it. I'd watch them both just to look at the cars (even though the Daytona was a kit car, didn't know that then). Being Italian, the name Ferrari has always been mentioned in conversations among the parenti. I always said I would own one and I'm working towards that goal. When I got married in 1994 at the ripe old age of 21 I rented a Mondial Cabriolet. That day I fulfilled two dreams at the same time...I married the girl that I loved and drove a Ferrari for the vary first time. With the top down and my wife's veil blowing in the wind, we drove everywhere (180km/hr on the 401). The funny thing is, just before we were married, I was going to pick up my brother-in-law's cuff links (which he forgot at home) when a K car backed into the Ferrari. Thank God nothing happened, just a small scratch. It was tense there for a second. Now I'm working towards buying a Mondial or 308. The fever never leaves you, there is no cure!

Spring 1981. Twelve years old. A yellow 77 308 GTB drove past my house. I jumped on my minibike and followed it home. It belonged to a local doctor named (I think) Nabors. The guy driving it was servicing it for him. His name was Leon Reese.
I still have the pictures I took. 16 years later I made good on the promise I made myself that afternoon and bought my 84 308. If I new where that car is now I would buy it. Mr. Reese, if you are out there look me up in Birmingham and call me. I need to know where that car is now.

Reading Road and Track as a kid in the 60s I always wanted a Ferrari. I believe the 275GTB was my favorite back then. But, it was while in college when the Magnum PI show came out that I first made up my mind that I was going to own one some day. Funny thing is I have still never owned a 275GTB nor a 308.

Ferrari always seemed to be the fastest, sleekest and most expensive in Car & Driver and Road and Track tests. Always a dream which had to be only partially satisfied by a string of British and American sports cars.

You know, I can't recall ever seeing a Ferrari in person until mine was delivered to me this year at age 49! Another year and I might have given up on the dream. Thank goodness for second childhoods and mid-life crises.

When I was 17 my friends father had a Ferrari which we always drooled over, he took us for rides so it was great but one beautiful Sunday afternoon he tossed the keys to my friend and told us we had 1 hour and if we got in an accident not to come back - ever. After realizing he was not joking we took off, half way through my friend gave me the keys, (of course I had to hit the men's room at a local place from all the excitement). I remember being on the post road in CT (not great for speed but great for side by side comparisons- two lanes each way) and I pulled next to a porsh with a guy (30's) and his girlfriend. They looked over, I smiled and blew him away. Never forget this day nor the effortlessness (word?) with which the car took off, now almost 13 years ago - seems like yesterday

When I was 12 a Popular Mechanics had a story on exotics; Lamborghinis, Maseratis and Ferraris. All of a sudden the Mustang Boss seemed kind of lame....

As Jake says, Christie Brinkley in "Lampoon vacation" did it for me, but prior to that "Magnum P.I." series the 308 was just a car that I had to have. It was a sexy timeless design and I have been in love with the carb. 308's ever since. Maybe I will add a 360 to my collection later because I think that one has my heart also.

My family has always been interested in Ferraris, although my dad is more into Corvettes, my uncle (like my dad's uncle, but I just call him that) bought them every two years he would go over to Italy and bring one back since about 1950. I remember my sister talking about them when I was little and she has a poster of an F40. I also barely remember the 355 coming out and just knew someday I would have to get a Ferrari. When I got more interested in them I started to love the lines of the 308.

About age 12 walking out of a movie there was a convertible Ferrari in the parking lot top down that stopped me in my tracks! After listening to Ferarri this and Ferrari that watching TV(races) I knew that Ferrari's were special. Then some weeks later I heard one driving beside our family's car and the rest is history. Most people do not understand my interest in the car, but then again niether do I?

I first got addicted when I was about 11 or 12 and
the movie "vacation" came out. Seeing Christy Brinkley in that 308 was too much for me and I knew one day I had to have one. When I was about 22 I took every cent I had saved since I was young and begged my father to cosign a loan for me to get an '84 red/tan 308gtsi. I loved that car but I only had it for about 7 months when I went back to school and had to sell it. Since i got out of school I've had a Porsche 928 and an NSX but I always Missed that Ferrari (I even called the guy I sold it to a few times to see how it was doing!!!) As I write this I am awaiting delivery of my '89 328gts I just bought at Continental Autosports in Ill. It should be here in a few hours!!!! Oh yea, I've also had a thing for Christy Brinkley Since then also.

I have a confession to make -- I was once a big Porc.. fan. The older 911 were/are just great looking. The slantnose 911 was definitely cool looking and in the south of France, Cannes, saw a beautiful Ringspeed creation. It was a 911 convertible with a suped up engine, 928 headlamps and some 959 trim. It is hard to visualize but man what a show stopper and itlooked like everything belonged and was designed that way. In 1988 they wanted $270,000 for it. But the best visual was outside Monte Carlo casino-- a dark blue and a red TR parked right out front together. Damn what site!!!

I don't really remember. I was more into the 50's vettes and 60's Jags first. Always loved the 308. I do remember though when the TR came out in late 1984 and I first saw it and I knew right then I was going to have one.

I was about 6 or 7 and got a 308GTB as a Matchbox car in red and that was my car. I was playing only with that car.
When I was 21 I had my first real Ferrari and yes, it was a 308 GTS, then a black 328 and two TRs. Thought I got over the Ferrari Fever just to learn that you can never get rid of that Virus but by death.

In 1968 I fell in love with the 206 Dino. It took me a long time to get a Ferrari, but I finally did!

Age 12. I was just starting to get into cars and read my Dad's R&T and C/D. In 1978 a silver 308GTS graced the cover and that was it. Right then and there I said to myself I will have a Ferrari before 35 (I got mine at 34). Still have that mag.

1977. I was 16 and the guy down the street bought a brand new 308GTB. I'd been reading car mags for quite a few years, but wasn't a brand fanatic yet. The second I saw it I knew what it was. I nearly ran to his house and had my face pressed against the window when he came out and took me for a ride. We only went around the block, but I've wanted one ever since. I actually hated Magnum because it made MY car a household name.

In '79 the owner of Aston martin, Peter livanos had a 365gtb/4 and one day he tossed me the keys and away I went---------in love with Ferrari's.Unfortunately had to return it to him after a 10 min blast.(the car and the keys)

Back in the early 70's, my father had a friend that had a 365gtb/4. I had no idea what I saw for the first time but I knew then that was the finest sports car I had ever seen. The car was beyond its design for the times. What did it for me is when I heard the engine start & the looks you get for riding in one. From then on, I've been hooked.

I was about 10 (1977) and saw a 308 GTB/GTS reviewed in Car and Driver. From that moment on, I was smitted with the 308 and all other Ferraris. The lines of the 308 has always been my favorite.

Saw my first Ferrari in 1977 when I lived in California. It was a yellow Daytona. Second one seen in the same year was an orange Lambo Miura (not a Ferrari but still very cool). When Magnum P.I. came out it's 308s all the way.

High School found a PlayBoy that had a big spread on Exotic cars. I didn't even know what I was looking at- first photo was Lambo from above and it looked like a boat or spaceship. Been hooked on Exotic cars ever since. Would love to have Lambo or Lotus (looks mean) but the more I read, the more they seemed to be less reliable then Ferrari. Then I saw my first 308 and been in love with Ferrari ever since.

I was very young, well under 10, maybe 7 or so. I was in school & we ordered books from a catalog. I already liked cars since I had an Uncle who started getting me interested early & my father also likes cars.

So I recieved the book I ordered & just about fainted when I saw a drawing of a drop dead gorgeous 1967 330 P4, I still think its THE most gorgeous car ever :)

EVer since then I knew I which car I wanted. when I was a teenager I loved Shelby's Cobras, then I returned once again to the ranks of Tifosi
