Can Anyone out there provide an objective comparison between Lexol and Leatherique? I have been using Lexol and have been contemplating trying the Leatherique Rejuvinator solution for my interior. Thanks >> Larry |

You can actually, use something like Prepsol to remove all greases etc, and then use a Water based dye product, it is sprayed on to recolour ,this what would have been originally been used, you then have to re condition it with leather softeners. I have done mine and whilst it is a long process all of my upholstery looks smells as brand new |

If your seats are original and unsprayed, I suggest that you try a product called Karyth (sp?)Kleen All to remove the spots on the seats. My local Ferrari dealer uses this to clean any sort of mark on the seats and the leather door sills and it works like magic. I suggest you apply healthy amounts of Lexol Leather conditioner to the seats to treat the cracking bolsters. |

My 308 had black crusty ash ground into the door panels and seats. To top that, some fool spray painted the seats and panels with tan upholstry paint. I have been able to remove the grime AND paint with a product you can get at CSK auto...Checker/Schucks/Kragen. It is Castrol superclean. It comes in a purple spray bottle. Beware- this stuff takes everything off- I mean everything! I am now going to attempt to restore the parched leather with some of the products mentioned here. |

I just used Leatherique on my 328 interior and found it to be satisfactory - but my interior was not very dirty or worn. The people at www.leatherique.com seem to be very helpful with lots of tips. You may want to e-mail them if you are concerned about something specific that they don't cover. The consensus on leather care products seems to be with Leatherique, at least when I did my search/survey. |

Ok I've searched the archives for fear that this has been discussed 1000 times, but found very little detailed discussion, so here goes... My 328 has the cream colored interior, and the bolsters are starting to crack. There are also a few dirty spots that need to be cleaned. I would really appreciate peoples' insights and experiences about leather care. In the archives the Leatherique, Maguires, and Conolly hide food products are mentioned. How do these compare? Does the hide food also clean? I believe my leather is actually laquered, so are any of these, or other, products harmful to that finish? Can the same product(s) be used on leather dashes? |
