Wasn't someone doing alot of tuning for their 355 awhile ago? I don't think it was Tubi, but they replaced the 4 cats or something like that with straight pipes. Anyone have a link?

take the AC out, remove the convertible top and motors, use Challenge rims, remove the windshield and replace it with Lexan, discard the old seats (I will buy them ) and you will lose significant weight. This will increase your power to weight ratio and there is your power gain. 10% more power is someting you will likely never even feel. $ 7,000 wasted. If you want to put a Tubi on a 355 then do it for the sound.

I have a 355 and for the most part, Ferrari has wrung out just about all the power you can get from a 3.5 liter engine. Tubi's themselves do not produce any gain. The headers that come with the car are also pretty good and I doubt that the Tubi headers add much more power, especially at the wheels. I would save the seven grand. If a better sound is what you want, go for the tubi or capristo exhaust. |

I just recently purchased a 1997 355 spider. Great car but I would like some more power. Does anyone have experience with the tubi manifold/exhuast combo as well as a upgraded Challange chip? For around 7K tubi is saying that this combo should produce 38hp. Is that just hype? Are there any suggestions to power upgrades or should i just be happy for now? Thanks for your input. |
