Dave, I find it hard to believe you have not had the time to get into Costco to pick up the Sprayway 4 pack...I think you need to start Saturday's drive out of Kirkland's parking lot! :-) - JMG |

I'm with JMG, try the aerosol window cleaners like sprayway, they work great...though presently I am out, and back to Windex... |

A simple and inexpensive remedy I discovered a few years ago. The haze comes from the plasticizers in the interior. They will emit fumes until the car meets its maker in the metal bone yard. The solution; and believe me, I've tried everything from alcohol, to carb cleaner, to fancy dancy window cleaners; that works is regular old windshield washer solvent/AF. It's about $0.89 a gallon, and used with newspaper, works great. The reason newspaper works so good is the ink. It polishes the glass, and doesn't leave residue from adhesives, binders, detergents or other chemicals found in other materials. |

I don't see (no pun intended) the hype with using newspapers for wiping. I've tried it and found no difference in clarity or lint deposits than paper towels, dish towels, shop towels, etc... Not that I wouldn't use it again, but I just found nothing special about the claimed cleaning capabilities of newspaper. I use Windex BTW... |

I also use the Stoner Invisible Glass. They're also a sponsor of our regional FCA events. |

Sprayway Glass cleaner is fantastic...still an aerosole so you need to watch the overspray but the glass is always clear. |

News papers work great and so do microfiber towels with alchol or acetone but be very careful not to drop acetone on anything plastic or painted. |

Thanks all, I'll try anything, I had forgotten about the newspaper trick. I'll be 70 in a couple of weeks and the old CRS is really setting in. |

p21s makes a prewetted "towlette" for this sort of application, and it works very well; however, from the smell of it, it's just rubbing alcohol. they explicitly state to use a dry paper towel to immediatly clean off the window after you've applied the "cleaner" with moist towlette. you may want to give that a shot (the rubbing alcohol), or , if you can get it, a dilute ( 50% by v., or less) solution of ethanol has worked really well in the past. wouldn't reall advise either on tinted windows, as they're both "solvents." |

What do you guys use to clean the inside of the windows? I assume that film buildup is outgassing from the upholstery. I've tried everything I can think of without much success. Any advice will be appreciated. |
