Thanks for the info. In the past I have been in and out of Canada so many times (used to date a woman up there that I meet in Greece), that I forgot a vehicle there would have to come under our import laws. That puts it in a new light.

To the best of my knowledge, the 348 still requires a 30,000 service. Trying to get more info on the Florida car. About what is its current market value?

Thanks, Dave

I contacted the Canadian 348 twice but he never replied. Check the following before importing:

I remember reading in another thread that Canadian spec cars are slightly different than US spec cars - I don't know where you live, but you might want to search back and see if you can find that discussion(I would do it for you, but I have to finish a project in the next hour - I'll check back later if you can't find it). Assuming your in the US, the cost of conversion might sway your bid price.
BTW, they both look very nice - do the 348s require the expensive 30K mile service? If so, that might be a sticking point on the Florida one.

Dave,

I don't know where you are, but if you're interested in the '92 TB, you might ask Peter in Vancouver if he could check it out for you!

They both appear to be nice vehicles - little concerned about the lack of history - or description - of the Florida car. Gotta like the miles on the Canadian car (assuming they're accurate). Good luck!

Frank,

On many convertiables, the wind blows around the windshield, makes a U turn, and then blows forward over the top of the windshield (blowing hair, etc. forward). My Healey and several other sports cars I have driven did that.

Does your 348 Spider do that?

Why did you buy the Spider over the TS?

I like your Spider - it looks sharp.

When I had the Healey, my girlfriend at the time said that she was going to make me a 6 foot long heavily starched scarf to wrap around my neck. All sports car drivers should wear scarfs in her opinion. Then I would always have a scarf blowing out the back of the Healey. However, I said it would look strange when I got out of the car, with this 6 ft. long horzontial scarf behind me.

I've had both, a 1986 TR and my current 1994 348 Spider. Yes, the TR was much faster ! But, yje 348 is easier to drive and would most likely outrun the TR on tight twisties.

What does the list think of these two listings:
What are the advantages and disadvantages?

From an uneducated first glance, they apear to be good deals, if they pass a mechanic's inspection.

With the economy in the state it is in, what is the approximate selling price of these two?

From my understanding, nothing can beat the TR for brute acceleration. However, the 348 can beat the TR on twisty, winding mountain roads. Do I understand correctly?

Thanks,
