Hi Michael,

To answer one of your questions, brokers and inspectors are not under the same umbrella - at least when it comes to my organization. As part of our service we do offer to arrange inspections due to customers' time constraints, but usually try to avoid this. Depending on location, we recommend that if you are interested in buying from auth. dealer # 1, have the service department from auth. dealer # 2 check out the car.

To have an inspector and broker under the same umbrella would certainly be a conflict of interest.

Best of luck, and if I can be of assistance please feel free to contact me.

If buying my car at Ferrari of Orange County doesn't pan out, I will be looking for a reputable inspector when I start scanning the private ads.

Do you guys have any good experience with any major car inspectors?

Do the inspectors have a service record you can check (i.e. just like CFA's have for form ADV parts I and II- to check for complaints)

Are brokers and car inspectors usually under the same unbrella?

Are auto brokers good? Which ones? Your experiences?

I'm just wary of under the table hand shakes between inspectors or brokers and the dealership or even the private owner...call me paranoid but dishing out this much money for a car....well you understand.

Thanks in advance for your input, guys and gals.
