Party was great. There were about 15 cars (some old and some new), great food and a lot of interesting people. We had a gift exchange where everyone brought a gift. You went to select a gift when your number was called. If you didn't like your gift you could exchange it with someone else. As you can imagine, people got a bit rowdy for some of the nicer gifts. |

Thanks for the info David. I saw a replay of the Road Atlanta race yesterday and the Ferraris looked awesome, although they didn't last long. The begining of the race saw the 550 right on the tail of the C5-R and Saleen. Even if not factory, I hope some private teams continue to enter in America. I've heard some hints that there will be Ferraris again at Daytona 24. |

Just wanted to let everyone know of 2 rumors that the owner of Ferrari of Washington spoke of at the holiday dinner yesterday: 1. The 550 will NOT be officially sponsored for the LeMans series. Ferrari brought in 2 different teams that participated last year in the LeMans series. After much testing, Jean Todt thought it would be better to wait for a bigger engine before they commit to the 550 development. The engine may be coming from Maserati, but not for a while. 2. Ferrari Spa may reduce production of cars for the North American market by 20% starting next year, due to the direction of the economy. A final determination will be made by February of 2002. |
