Matt, let me know what you find. I have the EXACT same need. I just bought a 98 355 Challenge car that needs front end repair. I want to insure it for fire/theft while I am fixing it. |

I just got full coverage insurance from Haggerty.com for my 73 914 Porsche for $85/yr with no deductable- as a "classic." They quoted me 505/yr for both my 82 308 and the Porsche. I am certain that the insurance is available for your car as an "exotic" as they have policys available for track use/show cars. Check with a few agents, racecar insurance is definately available. Another way around the situation is to get your wholesale car dealers license and then you can drive the car with dealer plates and it will be covered by your dealer insurance. Hope this helps! |

Can you put it under your homeowner's policy? That what my bike is under (it's an expensive bike). It's like $4000 so I don't know if a $100G Ferrari would apply the same but it's worth a shot. |

Any Ideas on how I can insure my 1998 355 Challenge Car for either; fire & theft, or full coverage for "non-racing" track events. As it has no title, registration hence insurance is not obtainable. I will use the car for club events, and would like some type of insurance. If this is not possible, I would at least like to insure the car for fire and theft, and not collision. Any thoughts? |
