Okay, this is a little different. I let my brother in law take my Ferrari to his senior dinner dance. I had him so scared about damaging my car that his date told me that all night, all he did was worry about the car. Of course in a rental you wouldn't have to worry about that. He did stall the car right when he pulled up to the hotel in front of some ladies....so much for an impression. Horsefly is right though. I didn't have my Ferrari for my tenth reunion but it really didn't matter as it was underground parking. But admit it you guys, a reunion is really just getting together to see what everyone has done with their lives. A little payback if you were in the band/honor society/star trek club. So now if you rent your Ferrari you better hire a hot prostitute so you'll look really good. (:

Yesterday i was cruising around manhattan with my friend, only we werent in a Ferrari. We werent in a car, heck we werent on land. We took his Jet ski from ossining to about 10th st near ground zero, then back up under the GWB and the tappan zee. Just in case anyone was wondering the water in NY harbor tastes horible! (and no i didnt drink it on purpose)

Although I have my 355 spider parked in the garage, I'll either drive my Jeep Wrangler or take the subway when I first started to date my girlfriend. I didn't want the car to become a distraction in how she viewed me. My girlfriend and I have been dating for quite a while now; and she didn't find out that I have the Ferrari until recently, when she moved-in with me.

Now, my girlfriend and I enjoys cruising around the town with the top down, and it's a great feeling when you know the pretty gal sitting next you loves you for who you are... :-) Good Luck Paul!

Mine stayed at home, too. But to each their own. I can see how someone might enjoy the experience in an F-Car. Will benefit car fans and petty whiners alike as their desires will be met big time. The rest probably won't even notice or give it a second thought. It's sure not hurting anyone. If that's your thing, go for it, I say.

Hey I went to a class reunion in my Pathfinder, even though I had my 360 at the time. Who cares what you drive? I didnt buy a Ferrari to have people look at me... if I wanted that I would have bought a Lamborghini!

I did not even go to my 10 year reunion. I could care less what people thought about me, much less what I was driving.

Paul, forget borrowing/renting a Ferrari. The few people who actually see it will ask you so many questions, you'll end up looking foolish. Instead, do what I did. Have a few drinks, laugh at all the classmates who have gotten fat and/or lost their hair (at 28, that is), and go home with that girl you used to flirt with in English Lit!

I read somewhere that marriage is THE #1 cause of divorce.

Hey Arlie, it's pretty much the same at the 20 year too. There were a couple babe/pig pig/babe crossovers but for the most part everyone was pretty much the same.

Where do they get these divorce stats? 50% of all marraiges end in divorce? When? I've been to 4 reunions and am still waiting for the divorces to come through. With my luck I'll be married for my 25th and all the babes will finally be divorced.

My 10 year reunion was not like they show it on TV and in the movies. People seemed a little remote and distant. There wasn't alot of "Hey, glad to see you!" More like, "Oh, hey, how's it going?" People seemed more interested in the lousy bar-b-cue dinner than actually conversing with their old friends. All the cars were parked way out in the parking lot far removed from the party, so nobody even saw what you drove up in anyhow. The movies would have you believe that the ugly duckling girls turned into beautiful swans and the babes turned into hags. No such luck. Reality wins again. The ugly girls were 200 pounds plus and uglier. The babes were as beautiful and snobby as ever and married to rich guys from out of state. Even if you could drive up in a Ferrari and flaunt it, why be a jerk? Would you be impressed if the class president pulled out his bank book and waved it around to show everybody how wealthy he is now?

Paul,
time to buy your Ferrari.
Now that you realize that it is 28 before noon, jump in and become one of us!
You will not regret it

If you're from Central Illinois, you should consider cruising in on a new John Deere... or how about a CAT?

Paul - Magoo is right. If the ferrari is not yours, then it is in poor taste to flaunt it. If, you do acquire one of your own, then display it proudly. Owning a Ferrari is an achievement to be proud of.

Money isnt everything, infact, its far from everything. I know this and im only 18. No offense intended, it would be cool to roll up in an f car, but i think magoo said it. Even then, isnt half the fun being seen in one?

Paul, Why would you rent a Ferrari to show off at the reunion? Is it a insecurity problem and you want to impress someone? Will you tell them it is a rental and why you rented it? No offense meant here but this sounds, kinda "phony" don't you think? Are you sure you want to do this? Regards,

Of course I know the answer to that one! In all seriousness, I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of where I could "rent" a Ferrari for an afternoon in the Central Illinois area. It had always been a dream of mine to pull up to the reunion in one, but 28 got here a lot quicker than I was expecting and I have yet to purchase that 308 out there with my name on it.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Best regards,
Paul
