Here is a better photoshop of the hood. It will look more flowing with the car I just can't capture it very well. The wheels will be 19"x8" and 19"x13". The only way to increase ci in an LS1 is to stroke, you can't bore. Thanks for the comments.

LOVE the widebody kit, but loose that hood (please!) Like the wheels, but try 19s or 18s instead of what look like 22s. Don't stroke, if anything de-stroke, and bore. (Maybe do a bored Northstar swap, N* can support up to 5.4 litres. 540+hp shouldn't be out of the question, and it'll actually rev.) How about rod-end suspensions? Best! Ben. |

I was just looking at this website. They are Specter Werkes. They are doing somewhat I am thinking. They offer a wider stock looking body and upgraded engine. There prices.....$35,000-60,000 for the same idea as what I am thinking for $25,000. Check them out here. http://www.spectergtr.com/ |

Anyway I am just finishing up a 383 stroker engine for my Trans Am race car and I was thinking about doing this for the C5 and also do a C3 style kit for the C5 since everyone is getting hyped thinking that this will be what the C6 will be. What I will be trying to do is to bring awesome performance and a good looking body kit for about half of what a Lingenfelter kit will cost. The body kit will consist of widened quarter panels and rear fascia with the entegrated rear lip spoiler. I am big on making things that look like the factory made them so I won't make anything gaudy. The hood will look like the '68-'69 L88 hood. The engine will be a 500hp 383ci stroker, with all Lunati parts. After that is all done then I will have the 19" wheels and tires put on. The kit will sell for $20-25,000. Well below what is available. Lingenfelter's body kit is $25,000 and his engines run between $18,000 and $50,000. His $18,000 engine is a 465hp 383. Other companies are charging roughly the same money. I will be selling these with the 500hp engine, widened rear body work, L88 hood and 19" tires and wheels, for roughly the same money as what Lingenfelter wants just for his body work. With the thousands of aftermarket tuner cars being sold each year such as Saleen, Callaway, Lingenfelter, Mallett and others, I think I am very inexpensive. I mean Saleen and Roush Mustangs are $55,000 and a stock Cobra Mustang at $28,000 can beat it in a dragrace. However the customer wants something different, something that didn't roll off of the assembly line. Something like what I have shown here. So if a customer would buy a new Corvette Z06 at $50,000 and say my cost was $25,000 then he is at $75,000, right in the market of the 500hp '03 Viper. It is relative I believe. Thank you for your comments so far. |

After many years of work, GM has finally made the front end of the Corvette look like a hawk-beaked Pontiac. |

I know you enjoy doing these drawings but GM has designers that can do this same thing if they thought it viable. |

Well on the silver one your choice of hood design is reminiscent of the big block hoods they put on from 68-72 which is cool, although the L88 was only offered until 67-69. And the red one (don't know if you tried) but does have some resemblance to the hood design they used for the L88 in 67. So I don't know if you are trying to pay tribute or recall the original L88's of the past in your designs but I think that either way its a nice little change for the C-5. |

You are asking the wrong crowd man. Personally I do not like any Corvettes made after 1967, especially the C4 and C5. |

Rear quarter looks great, although it is a slight variation from the stock car, cosmetically. Don't like the shaker scoop hood, looks too much like a 70/80's design. Prefer cars these days with natural flowing lines. What is your estimated cost for the bodykit fully installed and engine work? Keep in mind that there are many Vette engine tuners around and the current Z06 puts out over 400hp stock for only 50k brand new. |

I know most of you don't like C5's but I have come up with a new concept that I am actually looking at building and I really value the FerrariChat's comments over any others. What do you think? I have a new concept that I come up with and I would like to see what the input on it here is, I call it the L88. This is what the L88 kit will look like. As you can see the rear quarter panels have been widened to fit wider tires but the way that they are done they look factory. Also you can see the L88 style hood, under the hood lives a 500+hp stroker engine. This and the engine upgrade is what the L88 kit will be and alot less expensive than any competitor. This is just a photoshop picture and I can assure you that the hood will look more integrated than what it does here.
