i don't know how ferrari does things, but if they're like every other owner of a valuable IP in this country, they are very thoughtful about how they license it, which includes specifics on (a) what a given licensor can do (nobody gets a license to "print and resell ferrari logos for use on any product") and (b) approval rights on everything by ferrari - i.e.: they get to review the product prior to it coming to market. and those two constraints are just for starters :-) your man is almost certainly violating a number of laws. YOU can put ANY sticker you want on YOUR car. if however you tried to slap Ferrari stickers on old ford festivas and then SELL them, you'd get a whuppin'. don't get me wrong - the pens look VERY nice. i'm a pen guy, i might like one even! but it sure looks like these are not legal, licensed goods. my two pennies. doody. |

I know that he buys the logo from a manufacturer that also supplies logos of BMW, Mercedes, GM, Ford ect. Whether or not they are licensed logos, I don't know, but they are advertised in their catalog (the logos that is). If it is an authorized logo, I don't think Ferrari can stop what it is put on. Are they going to stop me from putting a Ferrari sticker on my Chevy Astro because it is not a Ferrari? |

do they come stamped by the manufacturer with "FERRARI - PLEASE SUE MY ASS INTO OBVLIVION" on the bottom? :-) in all seriousness, unless he has a legit license, this is a violation of Ferrari's IP, and is uncool, never mind illegal. doody. |

Greg they are really nice! They also use a standard Parker refill which makes it easy to replace ink. I work in wood (floors) but I think I'm gonna buy a small lathe and try to make one myself. I was thinking of getting "Ferrari" carved into the box also. |

Well, I met a guy about a month ago who hand makes custom fountain and ball point pens. I asked if he could make one with a Ferrari logo and sure enough about a month later here it is. I love them. One is made of Cherry the other is made with olive wood. They write like a dream and have the Prancing Horse on the top, also comes in a display box. Thought I would share them with the rest of you. Rob how about these for Ferrari Chat?
