There are a number of nuts and bolts to remove but nothing hard. You'll figure it out when you are there. There is a gasket that is usually stuck onto the case but a block of wood will pound the housing out |

If you are talking about the 3 covers 1. Transfer gears housing (has 3 round gears inside) 2. Clutch bell housing (has clutch shaft, arm and throw out bearing) 3. Intermediate housing (surrounding the flywheel) and where the starter attaches to. Then, yes, all three have to come off before the engine and tranny can be separated. |

Tomorrow i planing to remove engine block from transmision unit. Before i start the job, i got a question maybe anyone can help me with. Do i have to remove the cover on left side of the engine that is going from engine block and down to the gear box. I have already removed the pin bolt between this cover and engine block and the nut around the crank shaft, is this sufficient? |
