I thought the vacuum pipe at the end of the fuel accumulator vented to atmosphere,. Is it really connected to a vacuum line somewhere? The fuel accumalator holds fuel 'rest' pressure and ensures smooth acceleration by way of pressure accumulation. Poor hot starts are usually caused by a faulty or missing check valve in the fuel supply line from pump to metering head. |

My hot start problem was the fuel accumulator. If you pull off the vacuum line (the one on the end of the accumulator that is near the back of the car) and it has gas in it, then your accumulator is shot. |

Here's my update. My mechanic replaced the tachymetric sensor and then discoved the 2 other sensors associated with it needed to be replaced. The car now runs ok exept that the yellow,"don't go fast" light does not come on and it doesn't rev to 2500 after cold starting. It also is hard to start after it's hot. Any ideas?? I did put in some injector cleaner which I'm sure wouldn't effect the performance. Thanks ............ Gary |

Thanks Brian and Warren. I called Algar and they quoted me $256. Nick was in the area of $100, big difference. He didn't have any, however. I finally found it for $130, not bad. Thanks again ........ Gary |

The car wasn't getting any spark to either coil. I took it in and they found that the tachymetric sensor was bad... |
