Grant is absolutely correct. The Alfa Spider switches are the EXACT ones used on the inj. 308's. I replaced mine with ones from International Auto Parts also. They're about $30 each. |

Barney, you can get new Alfa switches which are an exact match from Trail auto parts, 1-800-445-ALFA or International Auto Parts, 800-726-0555. Part number is #34319. They fit my '83 QV perfectly. Good Luck

Barney, I would open up the switch and see what is going on. You have nothing to lose at this point. The wiring looks fine, so it has to be a bad connection in the switch (confirmed by your wiggling the yellow wire). All else fails, you order a new switch. |

Barney, Check the wiring harness then, that is, the female plug. I had a window switch problem that turned out to be a wire to the plug that was almost completely cut through, causing an intermittent problem. |

David - I cleaned them out as you suggested. The white one still didn't work right. I found that if I wiggled the yellow wires on the harness, the window moved. Peter - I can only presume that the wires are correct. On the slow window there is a yellow (switch I believe) on each end, black in the middle, um, hold on I'll take a picture. Be right back |

These are pretty simple mechanisms. I would try and open it up and clean the contacts up inside. If you are afraid to attempt that, buy a can of electrical contact cleaner, attach the nozzle extension and try getting some of the cleaner inside through any openings in the housing. Flush it out real good. Hold the thing over a waste basket or something and go to town. You may be able to restore it's operation. |

My passenger side window was stuck in the open position. I removed the switch and checked. It seemed OK. I took the drivers side switch and put it on the passenger side and the window went up and down normal (well, slow as usual anyway). Check out the difference between the drivers side switch and the other. I don't know if the picture does it justice but the drivers switch terminals are a lot longer and thicker. ........So, I go to the owners site and on the diagram (TAV 113) the switch is listed as #29 but there is no #29 in the list of parts. Anyone help in finding a new switch? One more thing, maybe the better switch was a replacement? Nothing in my paperwork suggests that.
