Mike , Maybe you don't have to surrender your Mich. license when you register in Calif? Sometimes they ask and if you don't have it with you for whatever reason they give you your other license anyway.

I would keep it registered in MI if you can. It's less expensive and better for the car. Near me in Hoboken everybody and their brother has their car registered in a different state because it's less expensive than insuring in Hoboken.

I know that this has been talked about on previous threads, but I need some California help. I have a 1985 308 Euro here in Michigan. I may be moving back to California. My questions are these; Approx. how much will it cost to add everything needed permanent, or temporary to make it pass? Who has experienced this?, and what were the final outcomes? I have seen the posts on keeping the car registered in Michigan, but how do I explain to a CHP why the car still has MI plates and I have a California LIC? I am bound and determined to Keep my Euro!!!!!!!!
Thanks
Mike
