I had hoped this topic would be over. Man, YOU REALLY must have problems. Again, check your self-confidence. |

thought to bring this one back, as i think it is very interesting, and like to add my 2 cents. I am proudly a US citizen, from labanese descent, lived in germany (worked for Siemens),and now in LA. 23 years ago,I relocated to the US, for the reasons that most of you stated: it is the best place in the world to live. I do agree about all the wrongs we do, and our ruthless capitalistic structure, but that is exactly what appealed to me! so we do all the things we do, bully others, interfere, or whatever..in a sense i agree, we do all the above, in another I do not see the problem there, for one reason: what good would 100 billion dollars do me, if i was trapped forever in 10 foot cabin? what good is it, to struggle, go through several wars, compete and win in space and technology, to become the GREATEST, STRONGEST, nation in the world, if we cant do anything with this stature?? to me, all of the struggle and past investmnets would mean nothing, if we dont do what we do now. The fear generated hatred as some said, will exist forever, and jelousy? well, thats human nature! the entire block i live in, know what jelousy is, whenever I drive by in my ferrari! Back to 9-11,expected? no, not to this extent. Justified? HELL NO! to all those, whom might have hinted otherwise: KISS MY AMERICAN-LEBANESE ass..(and go to hell when youre done!) What I find offensive to my inteligence though, is denying why we do the things we do. example:"muslims hate us, because of the way we live, and the freedom we enjoy".. wrong! they hate our interference in the way they live, and our countless attempts to change the way they chose to live. and lets face it: the feeling is mutual,(which I never heard any one admit yet).I suppose our oil-dependence on arab, and dominantly muslim nations might have triggered some of the west's resentment. so, they dress funny, and all, so what?? dont get me wrong, this muslim, here, thinks the less they have one, is the marrier, bust thats besides the point. I have way too much to say, and i have to go, so I will continue later.. MAZ |
