I lived in Henderson/Green Valley a few years back. I lived off of Pecos on Wigwam Parkway. It used to be much nicer. It isn't bad now but it has declined. The northwest is nice. Around Desert Shores area. People drive different in Vegas too. Very Fast. If you are planning on going to college at UNLV, Henderson isn't a far drive. I haven't been to Naples or Boston so I can't really compare. I didn't enjoy living there. |

Vegas is growing so fast one was one a nice area becomes stale and less desirable quickly Green Valley is a nice area built up years ago with less traffic probs as the NW areas, you will find a mixed demographic of people there, its a good choice Even I can't keep up with the latest communities here |

I'm planning on moving from Boston to the burbs of Vegas in about a month- moving to an apt complex called Chateua Calais- at least I have a deposit there- I can always choose not to move in- if its not as advertised. In any case- I was wondering what the subburbs of Vegas are like? I'll be in the Green-Valley Henderson area. So as a 25 yr old - am I heading to an area where there will be plenty of young people? or is this like the southwest version of Naples, FL? any insight on vegas at all witll be great DC |
