Ah, back in good ol' Ft Worth. I had Van Cliburn, classical pianist live less than a mile from me. Ex-coach of the Texas Rangers Bobby Brown live about 2 miles away, Tennis star back in the 80's, Martina Navratilova. The world famous Cynthia Cranz (my cousin) does the voice overs for CARTOON NETWORK shows. (Dragon Ball Z, Yu Yu Hakusho. etc.) I'm so proud of her! |

Inner Circle singer, whatever his name is, lives right accross the lake from me. Barry Gibbs son just got married last Sat and lives 3 houses down. Don Shula, Julio Iglesias live within a stone throw but in a different town (really a gated community but legally a town) on Indian Creek. Cindy Craford came by last week at some party there. Police presence was out there and I told the cops to tell her to stop by my house. She did not, I guess it was late already! I see Don Shula a lot driving in his RR, same as Barry Gibb. Don is a very nice guy. Very down to earth. His daugther was also living a few houses down but recently moved. Got to know her through my charity. |

L Wayne, Did Elizabeth Berkely buy the car before "showgirls". I would doubt she would have the money after that flop. "Van Halen (presented Eddie, Alex, and Michael each with a new 300ZX (free) back in '95 or '96)" Was this for the usage of their song in the ad that featured Barbie? M |

Live in the Valley and work in Studio City, CA. They're everywhere. Being in the car business here and selling everything from Lexus to Porsche and BMW, I've had many as cusomers over the years. Mostly TV people. Past customers (that I can remember): Michael Richrds (Kramer) Elizabeth Berkely Wayne Knight Matt Leblanc Corey Feldman (multiple cars over the years) Shaq (stopped in, didn't buy) Van Halen (presented Eddie, Alex, and Michael each with a new 300ZX (free) back in '95 or '96) Snoop Dogg and friends Entire cast of "Martin" execpt Martin Lawrence himself Anson Williams (Potsy on Happy Days) Bruce Greenwood There were many other but I can't remember them all right now. Anyway, most were pretty insignifigant. Kind of like, "Oh yeah, you're that guy on ...., right?"

I used to live close to George Foreman, while I was in High School. One day car carrier brought over a white TR and a red F40, that he just bought. My question is how the hell does he fit in there? Have an autograph as well that I got when I was shopping at the grocery store. |

There are a lot with NYC being like 30 min away. There are quite a few of those noveou (sp?) riche entertainers like Ja Rule, Russel Simmons, etc. Quite a few football, basketball, hockey, and baseball players. Phil Simms used to live in the town next to me. Lawrence Taylor's son was in the grade above me in school, Bill Parcells used to live two houses down from me, Jim Fossil across the street from one of my best friends. I can't think of that many particulars right now for some reason. President Nixon used to live near me too, we used to go trick or treating there and he would give out those damn presidential pens, friggin useless to a 7 year old. |

Jeff Daniels (Dumb & Dumber, Purple Rose of Cairo, Terms of Endearment, Pleasantville, Gettysburg, etc.) lives in Chelsea and has a great theater he supports there. Chelsea is also home to Jiffy Mix, the family business of Indy 500 Rookie of the Year Howdy Holmes, who lives in Ann Arbor. Ann Arbor is also home to Billy Ford, Bob Lutz, Warren Avis, Tom Monaghan (Dominos Pizza), David E. Davis Jr. and Csaba Csere. Dexter is home to novelist Tom Grace and Mark Koernke, a Militia Leader and anti-government talk show host who displays his collection of camouflage-painted rust buckets on his front lawn. Apparently they are there to slow down the Feds when they raid his house. Whitmore Lake is home to mystery novelist Loren Estleman. Mike Vogel who, at the time of his arrest, was the biggest Marijuana peddler ever arrested, lived in Brighton until he moved to less sumptious government funded quarters. He was a year a head of me in high school, and yes, Bruce, 1969 was the year Ed Gault and I graduated from different high schools together. Tim Allen is rumored to have a place on the chain-of-lakes I live on. No sightings yet, and I won't believe it until I see him. |

Dave - are you around the corner from M.Dell and the blackend fence line? Where I grew up in SW Houston, just up the farm road the ZZTop guys had a farm. Years later, Frank Beard, the drummer without the beard, built a house. And it was quite large. But that wasn't the house, that was the guest house/stables. Also had a baseball diamond on his property, rumored to be a three hole golf course, among other things. The real house was built was up the property and was difficult to see from the road, but it looked quite huge from what I recall. Frank had 9 Porche's and 2 Ferraris. I've only see him drive around in a 928 with BBS mesh wheels, and the a the red 3x8 & red Testarossa on occassion. Neat thing about him - his two kids, they played baseball with a friend of mine's little brother from time to time. But the coolest thing about his place - the tree house for his kids. Its basically a log cabin up in the tree, and also rumored to have a fridge up there. Too cool. Too bad they build up the suburbias in the following years after I left. It really degraded his 'middle of nowhere/light traffic' type of living. Also, if you recall, Frank also raced Porches. |

a little OT, but Wow, those houses in developments in Armonk, NY (5 mins away from home) would easily get over 4 mil. But those are in estates, i wouldnt want to live in an estate though. I dont know if anyone is familiar with westchester, but in towns (as opposed to estates and housing delevopments) the prices for small houses are rediculous, but IMO worth it because you get to live in a neighboorhood walking distance from all the schools, train station, and business district in a town. When i have my family i want to live in a place like this so i dont have to drive my kids places I never realized how lucky i was to live where i live till I went to school. |

Pat Sommerall lives on my street about a mile and half south of me. My street has several pro players and Sandra Bullock was rumored to live here too, but I'm not sure if it's true. BodD lives in Southlake too and he may know some of the celebs. Funny neighborhood, you have all the huge new mansions, but then you still have many of the old run down farm houses like Jennie and I live in. I even have a trailer home park on my north boundary. Here's some of the houses for sale in our area, there's only a dozen or so places like Pat's and I couldn't find any for sale, but here's some of the many $1-3 mil. places. Remember, this is Texas and $1 mil. buys you a huge house and much land.

My next door neighbor is an up and coming movie producer. He has a movie coming out w/ Tommy Lee Jones and is doing one now w/ Steve Martin. |

One of my "hobbies" is stalking rich/famous folks in dallas. I love to go on the tax rolls and find their addresses and home values and then go check em out or go to mapquest and get an aerial view of the house. Try it on your own address it is neat. Here is a photo of Mark Cuban's 21,000 sq/ft house the Dallas Maverick's owner if you don't know who he is. |

Well, Bruce...about the only "famous" person who lives remotely nearby (approx. 5 miles away) would be the one and only Slim Whitman...anyone remember him? Albeit, he's not too slim these days . Seriously though, I use to live about a mile from him for nearly 13 years, and often saw him (or his son) fetching the paper. See him and his wife occasionally in the local restaurants. The name of his estate is "Woodpecker Paradise". He still does quite a bit of singing engagements over in the UK. |

this is an unfair question for those of us living in central london (kensington in my case) but you asked for it so here it goes..... madonna used to live on my street, but moved about a mile away 2 years ago. and within a 15 minute walk i have seen and/or know which house belongs to: jeremy irons, bernie ecclestone, bill gates, david allen, richard branson, dustin hoffman, jimmy page, michael winner, scully, jude law, john cleese... and that is without getting into the teeny boppers and minor stars....... |
