You are entitled to your opinion, even if it is not correct.

Never said you were out to screw anyone. Just giving my opinion, which is what this is all about.

I still don't think 2,400 is enough power to do much. You can really only do light cleaning with a wand. To use a 'hover-cover', long hoses, attachments, or to really clean, you need a larger machine.

Perhaps my Honda is a 13hp. I don't really care. It has a CAT pump on it and it kicks ass. And, yes, I got a good deal. A bunch of those at $250 would be a business venture.

In my opinion, your 'deal' really isn't a good deal. Just my opinion!!! Not trying to offend.

My undies are not in a bunch, but the wording on your post made it sound like I am out to screw someone. (BTW I am a member of the BBB with a flawless record.) Also your information is totally incorrect. 1) Honda does not make a 12 h.p. engine 2) Your machine does not have 3600 gpm-that is impossible 3) If you bought this machine for $350.00, and it does have say an 11 or 13 h.p. Honda, you got the deal of a lifetime and I can assure you the going price for this is at least double what you paid 4) 2500 psi is plenty of pressure for around the house ASSUMING that the machine has at least 2.5 gpm, which mine does. The gpm is as important (if not more so) as the psi.

Gee whiz. Don't get your undies in a bunch!!!

No, I'm not a pressure cleaning specialist. However, I do know 2,400 isn't enough to clean much. Anyone who will use it for 2,000 hours would want something more powerful.

And by the way, yes (theoretically), both the Saturn and Ferrari will get you from point A to point B.

I realize that you are an expert in pressure washers Fred because you sell them all day long like I do I'm sure. There are enormous differences in quality between different models and manufacturers. I guarantee you that the machine you speak of is not commercial grade like this one is. I can sell you a vertical shaft 2500 psi machine with a nylon braided hose and a Tecumseh or Briggs Quantum engine for $250.00 if you want a POS. The machine I am talking about is made to last for 2000 hours plus. Your $299.00 machine is made to last for 100-200 hours tops. Just like a Ferrari and a Saturn will both get you from point A to point B right?

Doesn't sound like a good deal. Here in Florida, you can buy a 6.0 HP, 2,400gpm, machine brand new at Home Depot for around $299. Returned ones for under $200.

Most that size get returned because they are really not powerful enough to do much besides cleaning cob-webs off the eves of a 1 story house. That's why despite being returned, they usually still work.

I have a 12HP Honda, 3,600 GPM Cat pump, with all accessories that I bought for $350 used. It will almost rip a hole in your sneaker if you're not careful.

I can't tell you what dealer cost would be as we buy direct from the manufacturers and usually always sell direct to the end users. I can tell you that people go absolutely gaga if they can buy a washer for about 25-30% less than the new price just because it may have a scratch or has been run a couple of hours. These machines are commercial grade Karcher machines (the #1 selling washer in the world-made in Germany) with a powder coated frame, chemical injector, a 50 ft. steel wire braided hose (most are 30 ft. nylon braided hoses) and a commercial pump. It just boils down to you having an outlet for them or having a store front to sell them out of. Jerry.

sounds interesting. say someone bought them from you for $250 each and then tries to sell them to some dealer for cheap. What is the dealers cost without you? Hmmm. I just thought of something else. My ex boss is the vp of real estate at 7-11. Not sure what they do to clean their parking lots, but could be something there. I will call him and ask. Maybe one of their maint co;s would buy them or I could start a company cleaning their lots.

I have an arrangement to purchase almost all of the returned pressure washers from all Menard's stores across the U.S. and currently have over 800 in stock. I have just been offered 50 more machines that are factory returns with 2500 psi at 2.5 gpm with a 6.0 h.p. Kohler Command Pro engine. I am looking for someone out of Michigan (so that they will not compete with me) to purchase these 50 machines because I simply do not have room for them. I will sell them for $250.00/ea. and you must take all 50. Believe me, the engines alone are worth more than that. We sell them in our showroom for $495.00-$550.00/ea. The machines must be checked out first, but more often than not we find that there is nothing wrong with the machines. People bring them home, clean their decks or whatever and then bring them back saying that they did not work. If any parts are needed for the machines, we would sell them to you at our dealer discount pricing. Freight is FOB Muskegon, Mi. If anyone is interested, please e-mail me direct at [email protected]. Thank you. Jerry.
