Winechat...now that's a thought! There must be a wine chat room that would be helpful...I really didn't even think of this...what an idiot!

Anyway, I thought this was cool looking yet they don't make one similar that is temperature controlled, etc... http://www.amecountryfurniture.com/winerack/

These aren't used but take a look at-

http://www.wineenthusiast.com/

It's a good selection; size and price. If you're like me; more of a drinker than a collector, you will not need anything bigger than about 120 bottles.

Almost every cooler stacks the bottles two deep, if you ever want to be able to get at the back row of bottles make sure you select a model with sliding shelves. I've found it's also nice to have a light inside when you're digging around for that one bottle you know you have in there somewhere. A glass door is not really needed, unless you're trying to impress your friends with the size of your collection as all you can see through the door is the bottom of a bunch of bottles....Norm

Hey there Paul...hope all is well. I have contacted several companies from the back of wine spectator yet nothing preowned to my liking yet. I'll keep looking...maybe another one will come up on eBay.
I was wondering if I put an ad somewhere if this would be better...where do you think would be a good place to place a "wanted" ad?

Thanks!

check the back of wine spectator..there are tons of co's back there...I've been looking into a system from a company called Winestat that converts a standard refrigerator (not looking for anything fancy looking) and can hold more than 30 bottles.

No, all wine goes through Winebid.com. Only after they receive the wine and document the condition will they list it for the auction. I got on a wine kick last summer and won several auctions, but they wouldn't ship because the summer Texas temps were above a certain level. In the fall I received all my wine. You can find about anything you want on there.

Thanks Rob. I really want more of a furniture-like, armoire-type of unit...I have the perfect spot for it in Gieger's Gin Mill (my basement). That site is very dangerous...have you had some good luck there? I just bought a 97 (the year my daughter was born) Niebaum Coppola Rubicon a couple weeks ago and I am dying to try it. I wonder if I could have gotten a better deal at winebid. Are there alot of scammers here like ebay?

Thanks!

Jennie and I have a 40" or so high Avanti. It's great, all black with a clear glass door. Maybe holds 30 bottles or so. I got it off ebay for a great price, which I can't remember now, but I shopped around for awhile.

Actually, here it is on ebay for $285 and it holds 34 bottles...

Here's the Avanti 100 bottle which is within your limits at 73" high.

BTW, while talking about wine, my favorite site is www.winebid.com. Don't go, unless you want to get addicted.

I have been searching for a wine cellar refrigerator...similar to an armoire. I was all set to buy one on ebay (item # 2067088413) when unfortunately we realized the unit was too tall in height. My ceiling is 85 inches high.

Please email me if you know of anyone selling. Thanks!
