They did a promotional thing for ALMS in San Francisco where the race cars drove across the bridge. They did several "fun" shots with cops pulling cars over and arresting racers like Boris Said. That's one of my favorite road racing personalities. I'm sure he has some real world experience. My teammate didn't have his trailer yet and his tow vehicle was getting the engine rebuilt, so he had to drive his race car 45 miles from the race shop to my house for storage. He made it within 100 yards when a cop turned on his lights behind him. He just pulled into my property. Two cops came over as Greg wiggled out of the roll cage. After explaining why the car didn't have title, insurance, and plates they asked for his ID. He then had to present his concealed permit and then they patted him down, removed his gun. The entire bad event changed weather when the cop laughed when Greg expressed urgent care to the cop for handling his gun with "one in the chamber". Greg then talked about his old days in the Dallas PD and no ticket, warning, or anything was given. They never even called me to confirm his story. Lucky bastard, I got a $200 ticket from the same cops for using 30 feet of the sholder as a turn in lane for the gas station.

i wonder if jonas and karsten think they are different people. i think i saw this as pics for a car for sale, its obviously not real because the cop would be calling for a tow truck, not writing a ticket. |

At the Marconi Museum in LA is a photo of a Ferrari F1 car getting a ticket by a motorcycle cop. Looks to be on the streets near the museum. |

If this is real, im very dissapointed that the F1 car couldnt outrun the cop car. That thing shold be able to take helicopters. |

reminds me of the movie Driven with Sly Stallone. Surely he could have outrun the cop, but I guess that is even more illegal. |
