Hutch-trails don't open till the 15th so I am still waiting to go out on them. It's still cold tho' so snow won't be disapearing. I've heard of chimney hill but never been there.

Rob McNair - My house is in Chimney Hill, off rte 9 in Wilmington. I'll shoot you an e-mail next time I go up there. We'll definitely hook up for a ride or a few beers. How are the trails? A lot of sledders out this weekend? Be safe and watch out for the trail cops. - Hutch

Hey Rob McNair - How much snow is on the ground in VT? I haven't been up to my house in Wilmington since mid-October, and there wasn't any snow then. Seeing all this snow makes me wish I hadn't sold my '95 Cat 550 Cougar. My brother still has his '96 Cat 600 ZRT (triple, piped, jetted and tweaked), and you'll probably encounter him on the trails. We should meet up sometime in VT.

I'm at Stratton Mtn. Tim. If you have relatives in Bennington I'm sure you know were Stratton is. My new snowmobile is a Yamaha it is a 3 cylinder 600 liquid with about 100 h.p. The trails don't open till the 15th so I am like a caged animal just being able to ride around my yard! I can't wait to get her out into the open. You have to have a winter hobby up here or else you will go insane!

Robert, where you are in VT you need a snowmobile to go anywhere. Down in NY we dont get as much snow. towards the end of the day when we had 6 inches, it got pretty interesting becasue the raptor (made by yamaha, correct) is a sport quad, it isnt made to climb 45 degree snow covered inclines, but mad was it fun. fresh powder in a quad is something everyone has to experience.

I forgot the Heidi part, she probably was, I had my cell with me, but I doubt she has that number, son of . Damn Jeep. Alright so now I gotta work on the old man to get the Rubicon, and I also have to figure out how I'm gonna start dating Heidi Klum. I think I have finals next week too. This is gonna be a long weekend.

Funny you say that, we used to have an old scout up the mountains when I was really little, I barely remember that thing. The jeep is getting a little long in the tooth, 15 years old, 260k miles. The body's in great shape, but mechanically it's constant work obviously. It's just about time to move on and although I have dreams of Corvette, there is no chance in hell the old man can be conned into something like that. So, b/c my mom works for Mercedes (DaimlerChrysler) I get discounts on their stuff. I realize I would be made fun of if I got a MB, it would just be wrong, I have a Ferrari already, it was just be too much. So, I have my eye on that new Wrangler Rubicon. That thing looks sweet, Dana 44s front and back with air lockers, 4.11 gears in it with a 4:1 low Tcase. I obviously pay for everything Ferrari cause it's my toy, but my dad figures that as long as I'm doing well in school he'll take care of my daily transportation. With the discount I could get it with a bunch of options for like low to mid 20s so although it's starting to get up there a bit for him to buy me (I'm 19, I'm not too big on daddy buying me stuff anymore, it's kind of gay, but being as I have a limited income and it is immediately consumed by my need for increasing Fcar performance, I can live with him buying me something). He just might go for it though, he likes the outdoors and he likes when I'm into that stuff (he's got nothing against sports cars, quite the contrary, but still). I look at the Jeep website everyday now.

Hey Bret, next time, try an International Scout instead of the jeep. I'll bet that during the 45 minutes that you were playing in the snow and fixing your flat, Heidi Klum was calling your phone and nobody was home. Did you see the Access Hollywood updates? Heidi is back on the market. Now's your chance if you would stop wasting your time playing in the snow!

So I'm like might as well go get Wndy's tonight cause I have been eating in lately and driving in the snow is a hell of a lot of fun in the jeep. So I take the long way, spend like a good hour and a half (hittin up all the backroads, wait everything's a backroad in eastbumblef-ck CT) to go to Wendy's. So I get there, eat and all, it was a nice ride. On the way back I get about two miles away from my apartment when the jeep starts pulling to the left. I'm like you gotta be f_ckin kidding me. I find a side road and sure enough, I hop out and the front left tire is flat as can be. Now these are light truck tires (BFG Mud Terrains) with thick sidewalls, deep lugs, etc, but regardless the mother is flat. So not knowing how fast the leak is I opt to change it rather than just pump it back up. I limp over in 1st gear to an old person home parking lot where there are lights, and procede to spend the next 45 minutes change the f*()ing thing in the middle of the snow storm. Luckily I brought warm clothes, good boots (Asolo - Italian hehe), and have nearly every tool in the jeep to say pull the engine if I wanted to on the side of the road. It wasn't that bad of a changing (rim wasn't too frozen on, lugs were manageable, etc), but the snow made it interesting. I'm also glad it was on the front cause my spare is a 225/75 whereas the four on it now are 235/75s, and I would hate to have to rotate it so as not to burn out the posi rear. Well, all is well that ends well, just another example of why being prepared for anything is important cause God only knows when this is gonna happen. There's too much snow and ice on the rim to check why the tire went down, have to do that tomorrow, kind of odd though cause I didn't even run in 4wd today and wasn't going to fast to hit a pothole or something and damage the rim, etc.

Oh come on. snow is fun. my friend and i just went riding on his raptor 660R (biggest engine you can buy in a quad). we had it up in the county parks (graham hills) at a dirtbike track that isnt supposed to be there (country parks=no motorized vehicles), what a blast. quadding in fresh powder is alot of fun. No one gave us a problem with riding it on the roads, even with allthe donuts and drifting.

I just spent all day repairing frozen pipes. Why don't we all pop in on Martin in Miami? I'm sure he has room for a few dozen of us frozen northerners.

Yeah, here in the DC Metro Area (DC-MD-VA) we were pretty well shut down due to snow today. Been snowing since last night and just stopped a little while ago. Oh well....
