Yeah Jeff Cauley was very gracious and a pleasure to talk to. We couldn't believe it when he let us through! So we each snapped a couple of shots, thanked him, and went away quite happy.

The show was quite awesome, and the most noteworthy companies of course were the European ones. Although, that WRX STi looked pretty cool too....for a daily runabout anyway :-)

In brief:

I snapped almost 200 pictures (as a design student, many of them were of the displays themselves). The show was fantastic as usual and Ferrari/ Maserati is really shaping up their displays. I spend most of my time in the European end of the show. Ford and GM had nice displays, but I don't care for their cars. GM's product quality is slipping below unacceptable. I should not be able to easily seperate the pieces of the dashboard on a $25K Pontiac when there's not a squeek, rattle, or loose bolt on the 25K Jetta. At any rate, I'm ranting. The show is great, Ferrari/ Maserati was wonderful, and the Lamborghini service continues to be sub-par.

(Please don't turn this thread into a Lambo bash-fest. The cars were amazing.)

Did I ever mention that I love Cauley Ferrari? Well I certainly do now. I met Jeff Cauley at the NAIAS tonight and after a brief conversation, I asked how much money I needed to have to get up the private staircase at the Ferrari/ Maserati display. He asked me why and I mentioned that I wouldn't mind getting a nice shot of the engine bay on the Enzo. The angle was bad on the floor. After a moment, he looked around and said, "Sure!" So he let my brother and I behind the ropes and onto the staircase. Surprised with this grand fortune, I did not presume to ask to enter the undoubtedly "member's only" club atop the stairs. But nonetheless, I got some shots of the Enzo's bay courtesy of the birdseye view on the Ferrari display. May I strongly recommend this dealer and staff to anyone in the Midwest and kudos to the lucky individuals in the area that will be receiving an Enzo. I don't know why, but I'm having trouble with the "upload attachment" option. Be patient and I'll try to post the pics as soon as I can.
