Thanks guys, It's good to know there are some H T members here. I just got started in auto cross at Gulf Grey Hound Park this year; I also work F&C at TWS for the SCCA races. I met the legendary Rob Lay out there last year during the Spec SRX7/Miata regionals. I hear he's good with computers & racin'. Anyway, I got the OK from my insurance company to fix my car. I spent most of today running all over Houston getting parts. I'm still waiting on my exhaust system, the seatbelt, etc. & I've got to do very little bodywork & some painting. (Only the left front fender, thank god I have a body shop!) I'm going to put in the most obnoxious alarm system known to man in this project. I'm not taking any chances. If any of you guys are going to the Houston Auto Show let me know. I'm trying to get a group of the Houston F chatters to come out & after that Dinner @ Hooters & maybe a stop by Kartzone. Feel free to call me at the shop or E mail me for more info.

Regards,

Will :-O

William! Another Honda-Techer! I'm "Jason W" on H-T.

Glad to hear you got your car back.

BTW, where do you go auto-xing? You should come over to Gulf Grey Hound one time and you can meet up with some other H-T Houston people.

It's been a long day, I'll give a link to the photos @ honda tech because I'm just that tired after all this. This may sound stupid, but I lost a lot of sleep over this. If want to see them, go this link below. Thanks F Chatters for all your support :-O

Its good that you got it back. Back in the mid 90's my parents had an accord stolen. they were the #1 stolen car in america at that time. It was recovered a few weeks later, stripped down with the engine sitting in the back seats. It was an LX model, it got replaced with an EX, so i guess sometihng good came out of it. i use that car every day. its a little more beat up seing how its 9 years old and the paint has alot of chips/scraches (no fade or rust...yet). You really cant be too shocked when an interga is stolen, they are worth alot for parts. they are up there on the most stolen cars list.
Try to get as much insurance $ as you can. tyhey will probably give you a check for what it would cost to have it fixed at a shop, but if you can do it yourself you'll get to keep the $ that would have gone for labor.

William, i'm with Bruce on that... Glad to hear you got it back, but i'm sorry to hear that snagged so much... You said they used the seat belt to tow it... Do you mean that they cut the seat belt and pulled the car from where you had it parked...? In any case, i hope things work out for you, for the best... Let us know how everything's going...

Good to hear. I know what it feels like to have something taken from you. i had a competition stereo stolen out of my car that was in my garage with the alarm armed. I had spent over 400 hours working on this damn stereo and it took some jerk off 20 mins to destroy it.

It just got back from recovering my car. I got a call from HPD that it was found over by WEST OAKS mall off near HWY 6. Engine is still there but AEM cold air intake with bypass valve is missing, Greddy EVO cat back exhaust gone, shift knob, (stock), Ignition wires, AEM oil cap, GSR RIMS with wheels locks gone, turn signal lenses, clutch has no pressure to it, (its stock anyway). Ill get it up on the lift for any other possible damage. Every thing else looks ok, they didn't mess with my KONI shocks or Eibach springs. The drivers side seatbelt was cut off & used to tow it. Its back at my shop right now & I'm still waiting on the insurance company. I was told it would be about 2 to 3 days until they can see it. It doesn't seem that bad, most of this I can fix myself. But, It maybe totaled. I'm not sure if I want the car back. They may have dumped some thing into the engine to trash it. But if its ok I'll just us it as a track car. I'm still going out to the auto aution tonight to see if I pick up something else as a project car. The strange thing is I got my helmet & all personal items back, (Randy, cancel my order please, Thank You). The next step is dealing with the insurance company. I'll post pics later. Thanks for everyones support here. You guys are the best.
