Tyler, I don't think the 17" model has started shipping just yet; I think by the end of the month. The 12" model IS shipping. Both sound like great new Macs. Your 15" isn't too shabby by the way. One possible issue against the 17" model: it may be TOO big to carry around every day. You may want to go test drive one at an Apple store before you decide either way. I currently have the black G3 Firewire "Pismo" Powerbook and it has been superb. It won't keep up with the new models but it's more than adequate. No plans to sell it yet, though the new 'books are tempting. |

Randy, I'll make my decision within a week or two and let you know. So far have read good things about the new 17". I love my 15" G4, I just think the extra screen real estate would be nice. |

I have the 15" DVI Powerbook and I am thinking about upgrading to the new 17". Anybody have one and if so, how do you like it? |
