Hey, Ken, how about the people who about the high price of gas then, after filling up the SUV, walk in to pay and BUY a bottle of water. They think nothing of spending 2 bucks for a liter of basically free water.
$2.00 is outrageous for a gallon of gas but $8.00 for a gallon of water is just fine.

My plane which uses about 35 gallons per hour, at about 3.00/gallon is expensive. The car is dirt cheap. And I don't even have an expensive plane to run.

Think about it this way. The demand/consumption aside, what liquid is cheaper by the US gallon then gasoline if you had to purchase it from someone else? We do have it easy.

Just a few weeks ago gas was about the same price it was 20 years ago, So I would say it's still cheap.

You guys have it easy!
1997 GTS 8-9/23 (about 2 mpg at the drag strip)
1993 K2500 12/13

Gas is still very cheap. I remember my dad saying how he used to pay 25 cents. Of course back then if you were making 10k a year you were wealthy.

Matt -- $28.00 to fill up a Ferrari?!!! You guys are the luckiest men in the world!
I pay $125.00 to fill up my 456 in HK! But Ken has a point. Cost of Gasoline is definitely not a criteria if I should own a F-car or not.

'76 XJ12 efi - 12/21, 23gal split tank
'74 XJ12 4 carbies - 11/20, 23gal split tank

I lived in England for just over 2 years, wow that stung the pocketbook with an XJ12.

Gas is the cheapest thing you put into a car.

It's like buying a yacht: if the price of gasoline stops you from driving you couldn't afford it in the first place.

Why do people rave about ATM fees and the price of a gallon of gas and meekly submit to our usorious income taxes? We should all be filling up the fuel tanks for an armed march on DC. Or do you like paying 50% of everything to Uncle Sam for ???. We are all sharecroppers.

Geez. It cost me $28.00 dollars to fill up the Ferrari and $44.00 dollars for the Explorer.

This is getting out of hand.
