Make sure you get an autoracing helmet not a motorcycle helmet. The auto helmets have fire resitant nomex inside & they are designed for repeated blows whereas a motorcycle helmet is designed for only 1 severe blow. a carbon fiber helmet is good cus they are lighter. Also buy a Hans device that attaches to the bottom of the helmet, it keeps your kneck from breaking on impact |

Depends on your head. Some helmets might suit someone perfectly but not fit quite right. I know they have a lot of padding and they kind of "mold" to your head, but there is a noticeable difference by brand. When I was riding motorbikes, Shoei was the best for me while Arai suited my riding buddy best. Try them out. I know Arai makes excellent bike helmets, but don't just go by name. Try them out! |

Please forgive me if this is an old topic, but I am in the market for a helmet. I have looked at Bell, Simpson and Arai and am looking for suggestions and a way to get some graphics done on the helmet. Anyone have a real preference? I would be looking for the "top of the line" in which ever brand I go with if that changes anything. Also, should I just order one online? Thanks in advance |
