The sapphire faces are pretty amazing. I've thoughtlessly swung my arm into painted metal door frames and the edge of the face (no metal bezel on the different museum models) chips the paint!

Disney is an overpriced bunch of opportunists capitalizing on good intentioned parents. They screw you at every turn. I bought 4 hot dogs, 3 fries and 3 Pepsis for my family when I was there 3 years ago (after wandering around the restaurant with my tray for 5 minutes looking for a place to sit like a dufus). It was a pretty good deal....$34.00! 3 hour lines for rides, the stupid music, and all the losers walking around with the frickin ears on!! I digress, I love my new Movado!!

Disney World of all places! What has America become if your Movado gets stolen at Disney World.

Before the budget cuts I was on Sprint's corporate challenge team and one year nationals were in Orlando. Left it in my bag along with a hundred other bags while an event was going on and came back to find it gone. Sad part was it would of been insured if I could of got a report from the Disney cops. I called dozens of numbers there and never got a live person or a call back. Probably stolen by one of the Andersen team members.

I find the Movado to be an extraordinary watch.

One interesting thing--there's not a single scratch on the face. It's sapphire--not a single scratch. Had it over a year now--other watches were horribly scratched after a year. A very nice touch--makes me think it might actually last forever.

Rob--Ack! It was stolen? How?

Movado is the only watch I wear. First one I got from Ashford.com for $350, the next one from ebay for a little cheaper than that. Only reason I had to get the second one is that the first was stolen.

It's true... I picked mine up from Ashford.com during a sweet sale, got in around $5 or so--there is no need to pay list or full retail on these watches.

Interesting, the price has gone up significantly.

The only problem is, you give up the formal Movado warranty if it's not sold through an authorized dealer (e.g., Zales or Burdines).

That said, Jerry, there are "no items available at this time" for all movados on that website, and apparently everything else.

Strange, eh?

Always wanted a Movado, but $300+ for a watch is a bit much... Still, those are awesome prices compared to what they usually sell for...

My fiancee just bought a Movado Vizio at the Movado outlet store in Sandestin, FL. The watch was marked down twice from $1600, to $800, to $350. Also saw the same one on Ebay for $550.

FYI: I just bought a great Movado watch at a great price. The guy I bought it from specializes in buying display samples from Zales and he sells them for (in some cases) less than half of retail. I got a Movado Sport (that listed for $895.00 on Zales site), for less than half of that. I have NO affiliation with this person but I will say he is one of the most courteous and professional people that I have ever dealt with....and yes they are authentic. His web site address is www.time4jewels.com.
