I'm paying for it too with all the taxes I pay. And I will be voting for a different person next election, even though the options look terrible.

Because he's my commander in chief, I have to do his bidding. But that doesn't mean I have to agree with him in mind, just in action. As for seeing something done wrong and pointing it out, that is highly encouraged in my field. They also constantly say to have a questioning attitude with everything you do.

Randall - why dont you give it a rest. Every thread - you bash the USA, right off the bat. Then you twist everyone's words around - it is the same, time after time. It is getting boring. At least with others that have a contrarian viewpoint (art, Sunny etc.) they make sense even if people dont agree with them and vice versa. You are argumentative for the sake of it. You and MFZ. If you have any good points make them - and be civil.

I am paying for it, Randall, with 40% federal income taxes on top of all the other taxes (federal/state/local) I pay.

And, don't like our current president? Well, vote for someone else in a year.

But until them, please remember that he is still your Commander in Chief. I'm sure you haven't forgotten...

I was just rewriting what I've said numerous times, because you keep saying "YOUR assumption that the US behaves worse than scumbags like Iraq"

Where did I ever say that?

My views on these BS wars (plural because I'm sure Bush will start more) are that the Americans that want it should go. If you want to free a nation, go yourself and pay for it yourself.

I assure you friend, that you seem to have an inability to take it after you dish it out. No where have I said the US is without fault, nor have I said we should be exempt from any war crimes trials (and you are criticizing ME for my reading comprehension? LOL!!). I just think the US is less at fault than most other countries, but it seems you can't accept that fact.

Maybe everday I should post a "why the US has done much more good in the world than bad" link like you. But mine will be regarding Saddam's plans to invade more countries, or maybe stories of 12 year olds with their arms blown off and parents killed, or imprisoned & tortured for life, or raped in front of their husbands, or put into wood chippers, or...or...or....

Do ya see a pattern, Randall, or any hint of a blind spot in your rhetoric? Just wondering... :-)

I assure you friend, that you have a lack of reading comprehension skills. No where have I said US actions are worse, nor have I said equal. I just think the US is not without fault, but it seems you can't accept that fact.

Maybe everday I should post a propaganda link like you. But mine will be regarding plans to invade more countries, or maybe stories of 12 year olds with their arms blown off and parents killed.

Well, we will see, Randall. As for that last sentence in yoru quote, remember that the UN only got to see what the Iraqis WANTED them to see. Now that we control these areas, we will be able to see everything--a luxury demanded by but not given to the UN. Care to dispute that based on your "assumptions"?

And just how many topics do you respond to based on YOUR assumption that the US behaves worse than scumbags like Iraq? I assure you, friend: we uphold our own standards a lot better than our foes do. Capisce?

Yet another topic based on assumptions.
Don't forget the key paragraph in this article:

"This underground discovery could still test to be perfectly legitimate and offer no proof of chemical, biological or nuclear weapons. The CIA encouraged international inspectors in the fall of 2002 to probe Al Tuwaitha for weapons of mass destruction, and the inspectors came away empty-handed"
