I saw a silver Vanquish parked while I was cruising...stopped, got out, took a look, my friend thought I was nuts, anyways, the front end is very nice, as is the profile, I didnt like the back however... I asked at the dealer, that was the only Vanquish in the entire province. Coincidentally, I saw a DB7 Convertible not 30 seconds after I started driving after looking at the Vanquish... |

From AstonMartins.com: "Initial demand for the 158,000 V12 Vanquish has been astonishing - AML initially claimed that the next three years production had already been sold (planned production is expected to be about 300 per year). I have visited Newport Pagnell twice during 2002 and the factory is a hive of activity. A majority of the cars appear to be silver although I have seen a couple in green (very nice) and also examples in black and a dark metallic blue - haven't seen a red one though." |

My cousin got one a few months ago now. I believe they only make 500 per year, of which only 200 are sent to the US. http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/132929/210688.html?1046317428 |

That made me curious so I looked it up. Aston currently offers their cars in 5 different shades of green! Chiltern Green Metallic (Las Vegas car), Racing Green Metallic Clearcoat (below), Pentland Green Metallic Clearcoat (dark olive), Derwent Green Metallic Clearcoat (bright green, Yuck!), and British Racing Green. Racing Green Metallic:
I've noticed that some of the old race cars are closer to "Racing Green" while others look more like "Chiltern Green." |

David, you're right about BRG, it's a much darker color than Aston's traditional green. I guess David Brown just wanted to be different.

yup thats it I'm aware that brit cars are frequently green- british racing green however I thought was darker- like lotus's or jags version - but can't argue with you guys especally L. Wayne - who has the most ridiculous car acumen I've ever seen. I've seen silver Vanquishes - which are very nice. This car will no doubt become a classic- anyone no there sales numbers- especially compared to the 550/575?

Actually, this pale olive green is the traditional color of Aston's racers and that has made it a popular choice on the road cars (as Rosso Corsa is to Ferrari). I'd say it is second only to silver in popularity (thanks to James Bond). DB7 Vantage:

I saw one in front of a Concert Hall I was playing in a few nights ago. It was GORGEOUS! I love Aston Matins, at least from an asthetic point of view --very elegant. |

I was driving around henderson(suburb of LV) last night and see an olive- yes a muted green- like a martini olive- AM Vanquish cruise by me- he had his kid in front. I followed for a little bit - but he everntually just took off at a stop light. Beautiful sounding exhaust and an absolutely stunning car in person - especially the front. Anyways - does this car belong to any of you guys- I figured there can only be a handful of these cars in this color. Just curious -David |
