Nicely written. I liked the "rookie button" comment! Also noticed you slightly edited the extreme sexism of the dealer principal's comment... |

What a horse's arse! I HATE when people talk to me when my wife asks them something when we are together!!! So demeaning! If I ask, answer me. If my wife asks, ANSWER HER! Simple as that. Sexist wankers... |

OK - since my article was poublished I can talk about the drive now. The car is FAST - shifts beautiful but for $360,000CAD I'd rather drive a 360 any day. The worst part of the day - actually the only bad part of the day was interviewing the owner of the dealership. I asked a few questions only to have him answer my editor. He just glanced over at me for a second but rambled on looking directly at my editor. His comment of "it is a lot of car for the average woman to handle" (he threw in "average" last minute) - I found insulting. I just smiled - acted gracious, told myself I'd never buy a car there and pitied his wife. I did however let him know I had driven the Ferrari Barchetta - and although he thought Ferrari and their owners are a flashy bunch - I loved that car ten times more. Thanks for letting me rant, guys |

Expensive option. I remember looking at a diablo in kerbeck the paint was a $10,000 option. Something like electric blue.Awesome color but whoooo. I think scuderia shields are like $3000 option. Good for a laugh. |

Ok guys - so I took the ol' beauty for a spin - WOW - what a car!!! 450 horsepower! $350,000 Canadian!! Would I buy it - heck no - although the paddle shifting was fun, the car refine and detailed it just lacked the smell and sound that a FERRARI 12 can make. I'll post pictures and write more after my article is published in the paper this Saturday.

If you're still interested in getting some seat time in a Vanquish, just smile (with bedroom eyes) at the owner of Spyker Cars... He owns one under the motto "It's always good to know what the lesser competition is selling.." Yeah! Jack |

I have a video of my cousin's 2003 Vanquish at idle...I'm not kidding when I say the floor shakes when I play the video on the computer. The exhaust note is amazing. Anyone wanna host it (12.5mb)? |

Yeah, like a lot of Ferraris, AM's are bought by prosperous wankers who cannot be bothered to learn to drive--they think, because they have the money, then they also have all the skills they will need. But, boy, do those cars sound great! Mama mia! Have a great Easter/Passover weekend, y'all. |

I saw 2 at the last AMOC event I was at. Neither guy had a clue how to drive. 1 driver spun his car after doing a 1:40 lap at Lime Rock. The other guy's Vanquish was puking antifreeze and the dope went on to do 2 or 3 complete laps ON the racing line before coming in. Dumbasses |

If you get one, get it with the body colored console. ALso, get a recent model, the speakers are updated. |

ORGASMICALLY GREAT engine sound---what the 550/575 should have sounded like. Goofy, fragile-feeling (but alcantara-covered!) paddle shifters that feel just as clunky in non-track driving as the 355/360/575 (I dislike F1 systems; sorry, folks). VERY heavy, and feels it, whereas the 550/575 is also heavy (but not nearly as much) but doesn't feel it except on track. Lovely, comfortable seats. Astoundingly good build quality. Gorgeous paint. Horrendously cheesy Shaguar XJ HVAC/stereo/control pod in the center of the console, plus other Shaguar misc. switchgear. |

I've had about 5 minutes of seat time, but the tranny felt a little...clunky. Kind of like an unsorted 360 (not that a sorted one is much better). That *NOISE* ... well, that more than makes up for everything. --Dan |

It's a great car. I drove one for about 30 miles or so. The shifter is the same as the Ferrari 360 and 575. So different from the 355. It was a blast, but I'd still rather have the stick. Probably one of the best GT cars around. |
