You can bring in your opened stick of gum to Singapore. I used to remember a friend of mine who would smuggle in chewing gum by the carton. |

The gum outlawing was due to some jackass putting a wad of gum in the automatic door jams of one of their train stations. Eventually it messed it up and caused problems with that door, so gum was no longer allowed to be sold. It's strange that porn would be illegal, but prostitution is legal. |

Yep in Singapore they don't even sell gum. Apparantly they got tired of paying to clean it up off the sidewalks so they just outlawed it. |

Malaysia and Singapore are strictly controlled societies. As I understand it, in Singapore, people are not even allowed to chew gum! |

My Forza back issues I ordered in March was opened by the local customs. The customs even resealed the package with an "Opened for Customs checking" tape. Nothing missing, a few small creases are the only marks that I could find. I think it's normal procedure here (since pornographic material can't be imported into my country). Didn't made a fuss abouit it, since there was nothing to really complain about.

Tillman, got one, thanks, so it's no problem any more, but there are still some things that get mailed to the house; can't wait to see their reaction when i change my name... |

My FCA newsletter was broken as well! I also once received my Forza with its plastic cover opened and taped back together. I was extremely pissed. Ernesto |

DES, get a PO box. Willis, I haven't had that problem here. Perhaps a discussion with the local postmaster would help? |

I wasn't in town on Saturday so the mail sat in the box until Sunday when I came home. Any number of people could have opened it. But I suspect someone in the postal service. |

Willis, for the first time, EVER, i got my first FCA news bulletin, yesteray. The little sticker was broken, just as you mentioned... Although i doubt my landlord did it (this time), i can't get ANY mail from someone they don't know (Verizon, Sprint, etc.) without them opening it... They even open my phone bill, sometimes, "accidentally"... That's why i walk around my apartment in the buff - if they're spying on me in there, too, i might as well give them the full monte... |

I got my FCA News Bulletin on Saturday and noticed that the sticker that hold the pages closed was cut and corners of some pages were bent over like someone had read it before I did. One of my local FCA newsletters from last year had what looked like cookie crumbs between pages. I also had one Forza magazine "pre-opened". There was a hole in the plastic wrap and someone took care to put it back in the wrap neatly although the pages were curved from being rolled up to extract it. Page corners were bent slightly when I opened the magazine. Anyone else had this happen to their stuff? |
