I don't mind the content of the post so much, but rather what he alludes to, which is that HE was buying the car. Its not this post alone obviously, its all of them, and in each he mentions that he owns the little BMW and what cars he's been looking at but never that all of this was financed by his parents which to me is misleading and annoying, but no big deal really. ;) BTW, I'm not trying to disagree with you or argue your point, I respect you a great deal and I think you're a nice guy and I wouldn't try to do that, his post is fine for any age and I am simply saying he should refer to 'his' cars as his parent's cars as they payed for them.

Philip - he is the best in the business I'd say. His specialty is BMW. I have never met someone as meticulous in his work. He sells many high performance BMW parts but does work on other cars as well.

His history is impressive with his many Touring Car wins and championships.

I watched him many times spend time on the phone with someone just to help them not even selling his stuff. But most of all - he's a super nice person that is fair and honest and I'm honored to call him my friend. E-mail me if you need more info. If he can't help you he'll send you to someone that can.

Nika,
Nice adventure.....I love road trips....your friends shop is in Dublin? Does he prep cars for the track, is it a race shop or a hobby..........I'd like to stop in there sometime........I'm always wanting to get "speed tips" from someone who knows more than I do...........which is about anyone as far as racing goes. :-)

Sorry to be an annoyance, but I notice in your posts you're always trying to come off like your 40, if I remember your about 17 and your parents were buying you a car, you were not shopping for one. Be yourself, you don't have to impress anyone, but don't pretend to be something your not. Maybe I'm out of line, but I've just noticed in most of your posts you try to come off as an adult and never mention its your parents buying you these cars, for some reason it bugs me... maybe im just being a prick but thats how I feel :-)

So the 60-100 increment is 13.6-5.4 = 8.2 seconds. That is not very fast by today's standards.

Actually it wasn't me driving - but my co-driver. We had just brought the race car back from Phoenix and were stopped in Ohio...a few minutes from the shop!

Yeah Charles.........I did think about all that.........I still love my 348...but the Z is definately a performer......I'd like to see how fast the 348 will go from 60 mph to 120mph........compared to the Z going from 60 to 120.......the 348 feels like it gets there MUCH quicker.......but I wonder exactly how much quicker.............

It's a shame they didn't turbo the 350z (unless they put it on the Skyline GTR coming here)- chances are that would have gotten me to buy that car. Imagine a car with the capabilities of a Supra without the boring looks! I can't wait to see the GTR.

Phillip, it may not have a lot of torque but it sure is fast. Tested specs for the car are as follows. 0-60 5.4sec, 0-100 13.6sec, 1/4 mile 14.0sec, top speed 156mph, and it can pull .89g on the skid pad not bad for a rice burner. Compare this to 348 specs 0-60 5.6sec, 0-100 14.0sec, 1/4 mile 14.1sec, top speed 172mph, .91 on the skid pad. Looks like the little Z can edge out the 348 in all areas except top speed and lateral G. I think I'll still stick with my 348 though!

I like the way they look, but wasn't too impressed with the overall finish when I sat in one. It will be interesting to see what the aftermarket shops do with them.

I test drove the new 350Z this past weekend. A lot of fun....good price.......NO TORQUE AT ALL.....I mean it was quick and everything....felt fun, but no "excitement"....no snap back your head.........I was kind of disappointed...........but maybe just jaded now, since I have the F car........anyone else ever driven one, own one.......thoughts.
